Edit Engineering Document – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to edit the details of the engineering document that has already been created. You can modify the details of the engineering document, which is in “Fresh” status. You are also provided with the option of canceling the engineering document in this activity. Only engineering documents that are in the “Fresh” status can be cancelled.

Modify schedule details

You can define schedules for one-time or repetitive engineering documents. In the case of one-time  engineering document, you can specify the maximum number of days or hours within which the  engineering document has to be executed. In the case of a repeating schedules for engineering document, you can specify the interval in which the  engineering documents must be repeated.

Modify affected publications and concurrent requirements for the engineering document

You can modify the publications that are affected due to the engineering document execution.

• Go to “Edit Publications Changed” page to modify the affected publications details.

The execution of the current engineering document may require the compliance of already created  engineering documents. Such engineering documents can be termed as concurrent requirements for the engineering document.

• Go to “Edit Eng. Doc. Concurrent Requirements” page to modify the concurrent requirement details for the engineering document.

Record configuration changes due to engineering document execution

The engineering document execution might affect the configuration of the aircraft model or the aircraft. These changes are recorded as configuration changes.

• Use the “Edit Model Configuration Change Information” page to modify the configuration change details for the aircraft model.

• Use the “Edit Aircraft Configuration Change Information” page to modify the configuration change details for the aircraft.

• Use the “Edit Component Configuration Change Information” page to modify the configuration change details for the component.

Plan material requirements for engineering document

You can modify the material requirements that are already estimated for engineering document execution.
