This page allows you to enter the certificate details for the tasks associated to the engineering document. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Certificate Details” link at the bottom of the “Edit Task Information” page.
The “Edit Certificate Coverage” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are to be entered in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” component by default. |
Note: You can enter the certificate details only for the “New” and “Improvised” tasks.
The system displays the following fields in the “Eng Doc Details” group box:
Eng. Doc # |
The number identifying the engineering document. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the engineering document. |
Subject |
The textual description of the engineering document. |
Applicability |
The applicability of the engineering document, which could be “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the aircraft model for which the engineering document is applicable. |
Enter the following field:
Task # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task for which the certificate details are to be entered. The system lists all the tasks that are identified as “New” and “Improvised” for the engineering document. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the certificate details of the selected task.

The textual description of the task. |
Enter the following fields in the “Certificate Details” multiline:
Certificate # |
The number identifying the certificate that is applicable for engineering document - task (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. Ensure that the certificate number is already defined in the “Maintain Certificate Information” activity of the “HR Setup” business component and is in “Active” status. This number should be unique in the multiline. |
The system displays the following fields:
Certificate Title |
The title of the certificate. |
Certificate Effectivity |
Indicates whether the certificate is applicable for “Work Unit”, “Aircraft Model” or “Part” |
Certified Skill |
The skill for which the certificate is applicable |
Applicable Resource Group |
The resource group for which the certificate is applicable. This could be “Inspector”, “Mechanic”, “Inspector and Mechanic” or “Others”. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter for which the certificate is applicable |
Certification Category |
The user-defined category to which the certificate belongs |
Certificate Class |
The user-defined class to which the certificate belongs |
Enter the following field:
Comments |
Any comment or remark pertaining to the certificate details entered for the engineering document-task (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the certificate for deletion.
Click the Delete icon provided in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the certificate selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Certificate Details” pushbutton to update the certificate details.
Edit Certificate Details – An overview
This page allows you to enter the certificate details for the tasks associated to the engineering document.
Certificates are valid documents issued by competent authority or agency recognizing an individual to perform a specialized job, as the individual possesses certain skills that are required to perform the job. Certifications are highly job-specific and are issued by the employee training and development department. The certificate definition and association of the certificates to the work units are carried out in “Maintain Certificate Information” activity of the “HR Setup” business component.
In this page you can enter the details of the certificates that are applicable for the Engineering Document tasks. You can enter the certificate number for each task and also include comments for the association.
