Entering sub task details for engineering document task
In this page, you can add the details of the sub tasks for the engineering document task. You can select an engineering document task. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Sub Tasks” link at the bottom of the “Edit Task Information” page.
The “Edit Sub Tasks” page appears.
The system displays the following in the "Eng Doc Details" group box:
Eng. Doc # |
The engineering document selected in the main page. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the engineering document. |
Subject |
The textual description of the engineering document. |
Applicability |
The applicability of the engineering document, which could be “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the aircraft model for which the engineering document is applicable. |
Enter the following field:
Task # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the task for which the sub tasks must be identified. The system displays all the “new” and “improvised” tasks that are defined in the “Edit Task Details” page. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the sub tasks that are already defined for the selected task, in the “Sub-Task Details” multiline.
The system displays the following field on clicking the “Get Details” pushbutton:
Task Description |
The textual description of the task. |
Enter the following fields to modify the existing sub tasks or to add new sub tasks for the task:
Seq # |
The sequence in which the sub tasks should be performed, while executing the Engineering Document task (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. If you have left the sequence number blank, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of the sub tasks, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Edit Sub Tasks” pushbutton. Ensure that you do not leave it blank for any of the sub tasks occurring in between. |
Sub Tasks |
The sub task that has to be performed while executing the Engineering Document task (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory. |
Resource Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether “Inspector”, “Mechanic” or “Insp & Mech” should perform the task. The system displays “Mechanic” by default. |
Document ID |
The name of the referenced document, that contains the details of the sub task (Alphanumeric, 40). |
DSC # |
The dependent system condition to which the sub task must be associated (Alphanumeric, 15). The DSC should have already been defined in the “Create DSC” activity of “Maintenance Task” business component, and should be in “Active” status. The DSC contains a list of all the dependent systems and their desired condition to be checked for, before executing the task. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following: |
|
DSC Description |
The textual description of the dependent system condition. |
|
|
AMM / CMM Item # |
The Aircraft Maintenance Manual or the Component Maintenance Manual item number given in the respective manuals (Alphanumeric, 40). |
File Name |
The name of the file attached to the engineering document. Help facility available. |
Select the “View File” link provided at the bottom of the multiline, to view the file details.
Check the box in the multiline to mark the sub task for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the sub tasks selected in the multiline
If you wish to insert sub tasks in the multiline and assign sequence number for them, click the “Re-Number” pushbutton to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added sub task.
Click the “Edit Sub Tasks” pushbutton to update the sub task details for the engineering document task.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Edit Task References” link at the bottom of the page to edit task references.
