Entering schedule details for engineering document
This page allows you to enter the details of the publications that are affected due to the Engineering Document execution. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Schedule Information” link at the bottom of the “Edit Engineering Document” page.
The “Edit Publications Changed” page appears.
Note: The system ensures the following to launch the “Edit Schedule Information” page:
The Task (s) must have been defined for the Eng. Doc # in the "Edit Task Details” page.
At least one Task # of Program Item Type, "Schedule Tracked" should have been defined for the Eng. Doc # in the "Edit Task Details” page.
Applicability Group # and Task # mapping must exist if the page is launched from the “Create Engineerig Document” page or “Edit/ Revise Engineering Document” page.
If the ”Applicability” of engineering document is “Aircraft”, the system allows you to provide the schedule information only if the aircraft effectivity details are available for the Engineering Document.
If the ”Applicability” of engineering document is “Component”, the system launches the “Edit Schedule Information” page only if the component effectivity details are available for the Engineering Document .
The system displays the following in the "Eng Doc Details" group box:
Eng. Doc # |
The engineering document for which the reference details must be entered. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the engineering document. |
Subject |
The textual description of the engineering document. |
Note: The system displays the publications affected details that are already defined for the engineering document and the revision number combination in the multiline.
Enter the following in the “Publications Details” multiline:
Ref Document Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the document to which the publication belongs. The system lists all the document types created in the "Create Reference Document Type" activity of the “Common Master” business component. Leave this field blank, if you do not wish to assign a type for the publication. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Publications |
The number identifying the publication that is affected due to the engineering document execution (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. |
Chapter-Section |
The number identifying the chapter-section that is affected due to the engineering document execution (Alphanumeric, 40). |
Note: Ensure that atleast one publication detail is entered in the multiline.
Check the box in the multiline to mark the publication number for deletion.
Click the Delete icon provided in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the publications selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Publications changed” pushbutton to update the publications affected details.
Entering publications affected details for engineering document – An overview
This page allows you to enter the details of the publications that are affected due to the engineering document execution. The modifications suggested by engineering document might affect various publications such as AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual), CMM (Component Maintenance Module) and SRM (Structural Repair Manual). For example, addition of a part number or the modification of an existing part number can affect the publication IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalogue). This page allows you to record the details of such publications along with the exact chapter or section that is affected due to the execution of the engineering document.
You can specify the document type and number of the publication and the number of the chapter-section. The system updates the details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.

You can enter the details of the publications (the maintenance manuals such as AMM, CMM, SRM etc, and circulars) that are affected due to the execution of the engineering document. You can enter the reference document type of the publication, the number of the affected publication and the number of the chapter-section that is affected.
Enter the details of the affected publications in the “Publications Details” multiline.
