This page allows you to view the details of the selected component. Tell me more.

The “View Component Record” page appears.

Date Format

The valid date format, specified in the organizational model, in which the date appears in this page.

The system displays the following field in the “Component Identification Details” group box:

Component #

The component selected in the previous page, for which the details are displayed.

Record Status

The status of the component, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

Mfr. Part #

The manufacturer part number of the component.

Mfr. #

The manufacturer number of the component.

Base Part #

The base part to which the part belongs.

Manufacturer Serial #

The MSN or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the component by the manufacturer at the time of production.

Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

Mod Status #

The modified part number (dash number) or the engineering order reference number due to which the part has been changed.

The system displays the following fields in the “Component Classification Details” group box:

Component Family #

The component family to which the component belongs.

Expense Type

The expense type of the component. The system retrieves the expense type for the specified component from the “Part Administration” business component.

Part Classification

The classification of the part, which can be “Rotable”, “Repairable” or “Controllable”.

Component Type

The component type, which could be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the component belongs.

Zone #

The zone in the aircraft in which the component has been fitted.

Cargo

Indicates that the component can be fitted in a cargo aircraft.

RVSM

Indicates that the component can be fitted in aircraft that can fly at a height lesser than the reduced vertical separation minimum limit.

MEL

Indicates that the component is a part of the minimum equipment list of an aircraft.

Deviated?

Indicates whether the component design has deviation from the Designated Engineering Representative. The system displays “Yes” or “No”.

LLP?

The system displays “Yes” if the part has a specific lifetime. Else, the system displays “No”.

Maintenance Process

The maintenance process of the part, which could be one of the following:

  • “Hard-Time” – Indicates that the maintenance needs to be performed so that the items are restored to a suitable condition within a fixed period, such as number of cycles, landings or calendar time.

  • “On-Condition” – Indicates that the maintenance needs to be performed such that the items are inspected or tested at specific periods to an appropriate standard in order to determine whether they can continue in service. It is not a philosophy of “use until failure”.

  • “Condition Monitored” – Indicates that the maintenance needs to be performed such that the items remain in service until a functional failure occurs and the overall reliability is monitored by analysis and surveillance programs, such as “Built-In Test Equipment” (BITE).

The system displays the following in the “Component Ownership Details” group box:

Component Ownership

The type of ownership of the component. The system displays one of the following:

  • Owned - Indicates that the aircraft operator owns the component.

  • Supplier – indicates that the supplier owns the component.

  • Customer – indicates that the customer owns the component.

Component Possession Status

The mode of possession of the component. The system displays one of the following:

 

  • “Loaned in” - Indicates that the company has loaned in the component.

  • “Rented Out” - Indicates that the company has rented the component out.

  • "PBH" - Indicates that the component is under PBH coverage.

Leave this field blank when the “Component Ownership” is “Customer”.

 

Owning Agency #

The code identifying the agency who owns the component

Owning Agency Name

The name of the agency who owns the component

Engagement Type

The type of service provided to the component which could be one of the following:

  • Full Maintenance – indicates that full maintenance service would be provided on the component

  • On Request – indicates that the maintenance service would be provided on request.

Maint. Operator #

The maintenance operator for the component.

Preferred Stock Status

The preferred stock status for the component.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created by

The name of the user who defined the component.

Created Date

The date on which the component was defined.

Last Modified by

The name of the user who last modified the component.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the component details were last modified.

Comments

Any additional comments or remarks pertaining to the component.

More importantly, this page helps to know the precise location where the component currently resides, such as the warehouse or the work center or the aircraft/component to which it is attached. Finding the current location of components

The system finds the precise location of a component based on the transaction type and scenarios as elucidated in the table given below.
