Date Format |
The valid date format, specified in the organizational model, in which the date appears in this page. |
The system displays the following field in the “Component Identification Details” group box:

Record Status |
The status of the component, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Part # |
The part to which the component belongs. |
Mfr. Part # |
The manufacturer part number of the component. |
Mfr. # |
The manufacturer number of the component. |

The base part to which the part belongs. |
Manufacturer Serial # |
The MSN or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the component by the manufacturer at the time of production. |
Serial # |
The serial number of the component. |
Part Description |
The textual description of the part. |
Mod Status # |
The modified part number (dash number) or the engineering order reference number due to which the part has been changed. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Component Classification Details” group box:
Component Family # |
The component family to which the component belongs. |
Expense Type |
The expense type of the component. The system retrieves the expense type for the specified component from the “Part Administration” business component. |
Part Classification |
The classification of the part, which can be “Rotable”, “Repairable” or “Controllable”. |
Component Type |
The component type, which could be “Engine”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter to which the component belongs. |
Zone # |
The zone in the aircraft in which the component has been fitted. |
Cargo |
Indicates that the component can be fitted in a cargo aircraft. |
RVSM |
Indicates that the component can be fitted in aircraft that can fly at a height lesser than the reduced vertical separation minimum limit. |
MEL |
Indicates that the component is a part of the minimum equipment list of an aircraft. |
Deviated? |
Indicates whether the component design has deviation from the Designated Engineering Representative. The system displays “Yes” or “No”. |
LLP? |
The system displays “Yes” if the part has a specific lifetime. Else, the system displays “No”. |

The maintenance process of the part, which could be one of the following:

Viewing component record – An overview
The following details of the component are displayed:
Details that uniquely identify the component, such as its number and status, along with the base part number and the mode of component ID generation
The component family to which the component belongs, along with the component type, ATA chapter, zone to which the componnet belongs and the component category. The various component categories are as follows:
Cargo - Indicates that the component can be fitted only in the cargo aircraft.
RVSM - Indicates that the component can be fitted to aircraft that can fly at a height lesser than the minimum vertical separation limit of the aircraft.
MEL - Indicates that the component belongs to the minimum equipment list of the aircraft.
The component ownership details and the mode of possession of the component.
The configuration details such as the revision number of the component configuration, revision date, whether a position code is associated to the component, and whether the component is fitted to all the position code in the configuration are displayed.
You can also view the parent details of the component, the aircraft to which the component is fitted, the parent component, part and the serial number of the component, and the ATA and zone associated to the position code, to which the component is fitted are displayed.
The details such as whether the component has been removed or attached to the position code, and the transaction, which caused this movement and the movement date can also be viewed.
Details such as the date on which the component is inducted into the system, date on which the component is put to operation and other administrative details such as the planning base, the maintenance base in which the maintenance activities of the component can be carried out and the planner who plans the maintenance activities.
The usage of the component along with the lead parameter and the average daily utilization.
Commercial details such as the purchase order number, purchase order date, purchase value, present value of the component and any other additional details.
More importantly, this page helps to know the precise location where the component currently resides, such as the warehouse or the work center or the aircraft/component to which it is attached. For more details, see Finding the current location of components.

The system finds the precise location of a component based on the transaction type and scenarios as elucidated in the table given below.

The below-mentioned scenarios are applicable only if component is not in stock, not attached to any aircraft/component but for which a last updated document is available in Stock Maintenance for the part # and serial #. However, for these components, one of the following conditions may be true;
