Revising MCR – An overview

Revise MCR - A summary of the activity

An MCR can undergo revisions on the basis of the “Revision Transmittals” propagated by the supplier or OEM or regulatory authority who issues the MCR. A “confirmed” or “processed” MCR can be revised. The system generates a running sequential revision number identifying each revision of an MCR. Otherwise you can enter a revision number, which should be unique and greater than the existing revision number of the same MCR. On confirmation of the new revision, the original version of the MCR is moved to “Revised” status and will not be available for any subsequent processing or referencing. The confirmed new revision of the MCR is subsequently processed in the “Engineering Document” business component.
