Defining conditional effectivity for the MCR
This page allows you to specify the conditional effectivity of the MCR . Tell me more
Select the “Edit Conditional Effectivity” link at the bottom of the “Create Maintenance Change Request”, “Edit Maintenance Change Request” or “Revise Maintenance Change Request” page.
The “Edit Conditional Effectivity” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:
MCR # |
The number identifying the MCR for which you wish to specify the conditional effectivity details. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the MCR, if any. |
Subject |
The textual description of the MCR. |
Source Doc Type |
The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs. |
The system displays the following fields if the conditional effectivity details have already been defined for the MCR. |
Enter the following in the “Component Effectivity” group box:
On-Wing |
Check this box to indicate that the MCR must be executed on the component when the component is fitted to the aircraft. |
Inventoried |
Check this box to indicate that the MCR must be executed on the component when the component is not fitted to the aircraft. |
Enter the following fields in the “Parameter Details” multiline to add consumption parameters:
Parameter |
The code identifying the consumption parameter that determines the condition for MCR execution (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the consumption parameter is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and is in “Active” status. Once entered, this field cannot be modified. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following fields:
Parameter Description |
The textual description of the consumption parameter, as defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement for the consumption parameter, as defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component. |
Enter the following fields:
Relational Operator |
Use the drop-down list box to select the relational operator that calculates the permissible range of values that the consumption parameter can take. The system provides the following options: |
|
|
|
|
Parameter Value |
The value of the consumption parameter (Decimal). Mandatory |
Enter the following field:
Other Conditions |
Any other condition pertaining to the execution of the MCR (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the parameter for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the parameters selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Conditional Effectivity” pushbutton to update the conditional effectivity details for the MCR.
Defining conditional effectivity for the MCR – An overview
The execution of MCR might depend on certain conditions that are defined as conditional effectivity in this page. For example, there may be a condition that the MCR needs to be executed only if the aircraft flight hours has exceeded 10,000 hrs. Such conditions can be specified in this page.
You can specify whether the MCR can be executed on the component when the component is fitted to the aircraft. You can enter the consumption parameter that determines the condition for MCR execution, the parameter description, and the relational operator to calculate the permissible range of values that the consumption parameter can take, to execute the MCR.

If the execution of MCR depends on certain conditions then you can enter the conditional effectivity details in this page. The conditional effectivity can be specified in terms of consumption parameters.
Enter the conditional effectivity details in the “Parameter Details” multiline.
