Defining conditional effectivity for the MCR

What you can do in this page

Unified Glossary

Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to specify the conditional effectivity of the MCR .  Tell me more

The “Edit Conditional Effectivity” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which you wish to specify the conditional effectivity details.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR, if any.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

The system displays the following fields if the conditional effectivity details have already been defined for the MCR.

On-Wing

Check this box to indicate that the MCR must be executed on the component when the component is fitted to the aircraft.

Inventoried

Check this box to indicate that the MCR must be executed on the component when the component is not fitted to the aircraft.

Parameter

The code identifying the consumption parameter that determines the condition for MCR execution (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the consumption parameter is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and is in “Active” status. Once entered, this field cannot be modified.

     Help facility available.

The system displays the following fields:

Parameter Description

The textual description of the consumption parameter, as defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the consumption parameter, as defined in the “Create Aircraft Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.

Relational Operator

Use the drop-down list box to select the relational operator that calculates the permissible range of values that the consumption parameter can take. The system provides the following options:

  •  <= - Select this option to indicate that the MCR must be executed only when the value of the consumption parameter is lesser than or equal to the parameter value specified in the “Parameter Value” field in the multiline.

  •  >= - Select this option to indicate that the MCR must be executed only when the value of the consumption parameter is greater than or equal to the parameter value specified in the “Parameter Value” field in the multiline.

Parameter Value

The value of the consumption parameter (Decimal). Mandatory

Other Conditions

Any other condition pertaining to the execution of the MCR (Alphanumeric, 255).

Defining conditional effectivity for the MCR – An overview

Edit MCR - A summary of the activity

The execution of MCR might depend on certain conditions that are defined as conditional effectivity in this page. For example, there may be a condition that the MCR needs to be executed only if the aircraft flight hours has exceeded 10,000 hrs. Such conditions can be specified in this page.

You can specify whether the MCR can be executed on the component when the component is fitted to the aircraft. You can enter the consumption parameter that determines the condition for MCR execution, the parameter description, and the relational operator to calculate the permissible range of values that the consumption parameter can take, to execute the MCR.
