This page allows you to enter the details of the publications that are affected due to the MCR execution .  Tell me more

The “Edit Publications Affected” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the affected publication details must be recorded.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR, if any.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Applicability Group #

Use the drop-down list box to select the group of aircraft, component or engine for which the MCR is applicable. The system lists the group numbers created in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Aircraft” or the group numbers defined in the “Component Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine”.

Leave this field blank, if you wish to enter the affected publication details with respect to the MCR and revision number combination

The system displays the multiline fields if the affected publication details have already been defined for the applicability group.

Reference Doc Type

Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the document to which the publication belongs. The system lists all the document types created in the “Add Reference Documents Information” activity of the “Common Master” business component.

Document #

The number identifying the publication that is affected due to the MCR execution (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Once entered, this field cannot be modified.

Chapter-Section

The number identifying the chapter or section that is affected due to the MCR execution. (Alphanumeric, 40).

Remarks

Any remark pertaining to the affected publication (Alphanumeric, 255).

Note: Ensure that the combination of the document type and document number is unique in the multiline.

If you have already defined the document reference details for a particular applicability group, then ensure that the document number and document type combination is not defined across the applicability groups.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Recording affected publication details– An overview

Edit MCR - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to enter the details of the publications that are affected due to the MCR execution. The modifications suggested by MCR might affect various publications such as AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual), CMM (Calibration Memory Module) and SRM (Structural Repair Manual). For example, addition of a part number or the modification of an existing part number can affect the publication IPC (Illustrated Parts Catalogue). This page allows you to record the details of such publications along with the exact chapter or section that is affected due to the execution of the MCR.

You can define the affected publication information for a specific applicability group. You can specify the document number of the publication, document type, the number of the chapter-section and any remarks pertaining to the affected publication.

You can enter the details of the publications (the maintenance manuals such as AMM, CMM, SRM etc, and circulars) that are affected due to the execution of the MCR. You can enter the details with respect to the MCR or MCR and applicability group combination.
