This page allows you to enter the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the MCR .  Tell me more

The “Edit Task Information” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the task information must be entered.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR, if any.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Applicability Group #

Use the drop-down list box to select the group of aircraft, component or engine for which the MCR is applicable. The system lists the group numbers created in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Aircraft” or the group numbers defined in the “Component Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine”.

Leave this field blank, if you wish to enter the task details with respect to the MCR and revision number combination.

The system displays the multiline fields if the task details have already been defined for the applicability group.

Task Classifier

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the task is a new task or an existing task. The system displays the following options:

 
  • New – Select this option to indicate that the task is not defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component.

 
  • Existing – Select this option to indicate that the task is already defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component

Note: For the “Existing” tasks, you can enter the task number and the revision number. The other details are updated from the “Maintenance Task” business component on clicking the “Edit Tasks” pushbutton.

Task #

The task that must be performed for the MCR execution (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. In the case of existing tasks, ensure that the task number is already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in active status.

Revision #

The revision number of the task (Integer). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. For existing tasks, ensure that the task number and revision number combination is already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in “Active” status.

For existing tasks, the system fills in the following fields in the multiline on clicking the “Edit Task Details” pushbutton

Task Description

The textual description of the task (Alphanumeric, 150). Data entry in this field is mandatory for new tasks.

Time Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the time estimated to complete the task. The system lists the options “Hours” or “Minutes” or “Days”. By default, this field is set to “Hours”.

Est. Elapsed Time

The time estimated to complete the task (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive.

Est. Man Hrs

The total man hours estimated to complete the task (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive.

Remarks

Any remark pertaining to the task (Alphanumeric, 255).

Defining tasks for the MCR – An overview

Edit MCR - A summary of the activity

To execute an MCR, you have to perform certain tasks and sub tasks. The details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the MCR can be entered in this page. The task details can be defined for a specific applicability group.

You can create a new task for the MCR execution or attach an existing task to the applicability group. For new tasks, you can enter the task number, revision number, task description, time unit, total time, man-hours estimated for task completion and the remarks regarding the task. If you wish to attach an existing task to the applicability group, you can specify the task number and revision number. The system displays all the other details of the task as defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component, in the multiline.
