This page allows you to enter the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the MCR . Tell me more
Select the “Edit Task Information” link at the bottom of the “Create Maintenance Change Request”, “Edit Maintenance Change Request” or “Revise Maintenance Change Request” page.
The “Edit Task Information” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:
MCR # |
The number identifying the MCR for which the task information must be entered. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the MCR, if any. |
Subject |
The textual description of the MCR. |
Source Doc Type |
The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs. |
Enter the following field in the “Group Details” group box:
Applicability Group # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the group of aircraft, component or engine for which the MCR is applicable. The system lists the group numbers created in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Aircraft” or the group numbers defined in the “Component Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine”. Leave this field blank, if you wish to enter the task details with respect to the MCR and revision number combination. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the task details that have already been defined for the applicability group.
The system displays the multiline fields if the task details have already been defined for the applicability group.
Enter the following fields in the “Task Details” multiline to add tasks:

Note: For the “Existing” tasks, you can enter the task number and the revision number. The other details are updated from the “Maintenance Task” business component on clicking the “Edit Tasks” pushbutton.
Task # |
The task that must be performed for the MCR execution (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. In the case of existing tasks, ensure that the task number is already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in active status. Help facility available. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task (Integer). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. For existing tasks, ensure that the task number and revision number combination is already defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in “Active” status. |

Enter the following fields for new tasks:
Task Description |
The textual description of the task (Alphanumeric, 150). Data entry in this field is mandatory for new tasks. |
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the time estimated to complete the task. The system lists the options “Hours” or “Minutes” or “Days”. By default, this field is set to “Hours”. |
Est. Elapsed Time |
The time estimated to complete the task (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. |
Est. Man Hrs |
The total man hours estimated to complete the task (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. |
Remarks |
Any remark pertaining to the task (Alphanumeric, 255). |

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the task for entering the sub task or task requirement details.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the tasks selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Tasks” pushbutton to update the task details.

Select the “Edit Sub Tasks” link at the bottom of the page to enter the sub-task information for the task selected in the multiline.
Select the “Edit Parts Supplied by Operator” link at the bottom of the page to enter the task requirement details or the parts provided by the operator.
Defining tasks for the MCR – An overview
To execute an MCR, you have to perform certain tasks and sub tasks. The details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the MCR can be entered in this page. The task details can be defined for a specific applicability group.
You can create a new task for the MCR execution or attach an existing task to the applicability group. For new tasks, you can enter the task number, revision number, task description, time unit, total time, man-hours estimated for task completion and the remarks regarding the task. If you wish to attach an existing task to the applicability group, you can specify the task number and revision number. The system displays all the other details of the task as defined in the “Maintenance Task” business component, in the multiline.
You can select a task in this page and enter the sub task details in the “Edit Sub Tasks” page.
