Specifying resource requirement information for the MCR
This page allows you to specify resource details . Tell me more
Select the “Edit Resources Requirements” link at the bottom of the “Create Maintenance Change Request”, “Edit Maintenance Change Request” or “Revise Maintenance Change Request” page.
The “Edit Resources Requirements” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:
MCR # |
The number identifying the MCR for which the resource requirement details must be specified. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the MCR. |
Subject |
The textual description of the MCR. |
Source Doc Type |
The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs. |
Enter the following field:
Facility Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the facility type to which the required resource belongs. The system lists the options “Tools”, “Equipment” and “Others” and sets this field to “Tools” by default. |
Enter the following field in the “Group Details” group box:
Applicability Group # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the group of aircraft, component or engine for which the MCR is applicable. The system lists the group numbers created in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Aircraft” or the group numbers defined in the “Component Effectivity” page if the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine”. |
Leave this field blank, if you wish to enter the resource details with respect to the MCR and revision number combination |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The system displays the multiline fields if the resource details have already been defined for the applicability group, facility type and MCR combination.
Enter the following fields in the “Facility Details” multiline to add resources:

The code identifying the facility or the resource that is required for carrying out the execution of MCR (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the facility code is already defined for the selected facility type in the “Create Facilities” activity of the “Work Center” business component and is in “Active” status. Ensure that the facility code is unique in the multiline. Once entered, this field cannot be modified. |

Note: If you have already defined the resource requirement details for a particular applicability group, then ensure that the facility code is not defined as the resource requirement across the applicability groups.
The system displays the following field:

The textual description of the facility or the resource (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Enter the following fields:
Est. Nos |
The total number of resources estimated to execute the MCR (Integer). Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. |
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the time required for the resources to execute the MCR. The system lists the options “Minutes”, “Hours” and “Days” and sets this field to “Hours” by default. |
Est. Time |
The time estimated to execute the MCR (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered in this field is positive. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the resource for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the resources selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Resource Requirements” pushbutton to update the resource details.
Specifying resource requirement information for the MCR – An overview
The execution of MCR requires tools, equipment and other resources. Such resource details can be specified in this page. You can select the facility type (Tools, Equipment etc.), that is already defined in the “Work Center” business component and enter the facility code or resource code for the facility type. You can also specify the quantity of resources required and the time estimated to complete the MCR execution.

You can enter the details of the resources that are required for MCR execution. You can select the facility type and enter the resource details.
Select the facility type in the “Facility Type” drop-down list box.
Select the applicability group number in the “Applicability Group” drop-down list box.
Enter the facility number, estimated quantity, time unit and the estimated time in the “Facility Details” multiline.
