This page allows you to specify the part effectivity details for the MCR .  Tell me more

The “Edit Recommended Part Effectivity” page appears.

Note: This page is launched only when the effectivity of the MCR is “Component”.

The system displays the following fields in the “MCR Details” group box:

MCR #

The number identifying the MCR for which the part effectivity details must be entered.

Revision #

The revision number of the MCR, if any.

Subject

The textual description of the MCR.

Source Doc Type

The type of the source document to which the MCR belongs.

Part Identifier

The identifier of the part as set in the “Create Maintenance Change Request” page, which could be one of the following:

 
  • Internal - indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part which is already available with the operator. This internal part is already defined in the "Create Parts Main Information" activity of the "Part Administration" business component

 
  • Supplier - indicates that the MCR must be executed on the part supplied by the supplier. This part can be a new part or an alternate part that is defined in the "Maintain Alternate Part Nos" activity of the "Part Administration" business component.

Applicability

The system displays either “Component” or “Engine” to indicate the applicability of the MCR.

The system fills in the multiline fields if the effectivity details have already been defined.

Part #

The part number on which the MCR must be executed (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the part number is unique in the multiline. Once entered, this field cannot be modified.

Part Description

The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the part is not already defined in the “Part” business component.

Note: For an internal part that has already been defined, if you have not entered the description, the system fills in the description from the “Part” business component, on clicking the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton. For a part supplied by the supplier, the system fills in the description of the equivalent part number defined in the “Part” business component. If the part supplied is new, entry of part description is mandatory.

Manufacturer Name

The name of the part manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 45).

If you leave this field blank the system updates this field with the manufacturer name saved for the part in the “Part Administration” business component.

Reference Date Basis

Use the drop-down list box to specify the Reference Date basis for the effective from date of the Part #. The system lists the values “Induction Date”, “Operational Date” and “Manufactured Date” along with a blank value.

Eff. From Date

The date from which the Part # is effective.

Note: The “Reference Date Basis’ and ‘Eff. From Date’ fields appear only if the screen is launched for an MCR # whose Eff. From Date is set as ‘Maint. Obj. Level'.

Edit MCR - A summary of the activity

You can specify the part effectivity details for the MCR in this page. Part effectivity refers to the parts for which the maintenance change request is applicable. You can enter the part effectivity details in this page only when the MCR is applicable for “Component” or “Engine”. This page allows you to specify the parts on which the change advocated by the MCR must be performed.
