Edit Engg. Advice Note – A summary of the activity

This activity allows you to select an EAN and modify its details. You can modify an EAN in the “Fresh” status. You can also modify the reference document details, the aircraft effectivity details, the part number and the serial number effectivity details. You can also delete or cancel a selected EAN in this page.

The “Select Engg. Advice Note” page allows you to search and select an EAN for modification. The “View Associated Service Request” page allows you to view the ESRs, which have been associated to the selected EAN. The “View ES Request” page allows you to view the details of the associated ESRs. The “Modify Engg Advice Note” page allows you to modify the details of the EAN. The “Reference Details” page allows you to modify the reference document details of the selected EAN. You can also add details of new reference documents in this page. The “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” page allows you to modify the aircraft effectivity details of the selected EAN. You can also add details of other aircraft models, which can also use the selected EAN. The “Edit Part Effectivity” page allows you to modify the part effectivity details of the selected EAN, if the EAN has been raised for a component or an engine. You can also add details of other part numbers, which can also use the selected EAN. The “Edit Serial # Effectivity” page allows you to modify the part serial number effectivity details of the selected EAN.

Modify EAN

You can modify the EAN selected in the “Select Engg. Advice Note” page. Only those EANs that are in the “Fresh” status can be modified.

• Use the “Modify Engg. Advice Note” page to modify the EAN details.

Cancel EAN

You can cancel the EAN that are in “Fresh status. The status of the EAN is updated to “Cancelled”. The cancelled EAN is disassociated from its corresponding ESR and the disassociated ESR is available again for processing.

• Go to “Select Engg. Advice Note” page.

• Or select an EAN in the ‘Select Engg. Advice Note” page and go to “Modify Engg. Advice Note” page.

• Click the “Cancel Advice Note” pushbutton to cancel the EAN.
