Editing serial number effectivity details for the EAN

This page allows you to modify and serial number effectivity details of the EAN. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Serial # Effectivity” link at the bottom of the “Edit Part Effectivity” page.
The “Edit Serial # Effectivity” page appears.
The system displays the following in the “Advice Note Details” group box:

Engg Advice Note # |
The number identifying the EAN for which the serial number details must be entered. |

Revision # |
The revision number of the EAN. |

Subject |
The subject of the EAN. Zoom facility available |
Enter the following fields in the “Advice Note Details” group box:

Part # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the part for which the serial number details must be retrieved in the multiline. The system lists all the part numbers defined in the “Part Effectivity” page. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to retrieve the serial number details of the selected part.
Enter the following fields in the “Part Details” multiline:
Note: The values entered for the component number, part number and the manufacturer serial number must be unique.

Component # |
The number identifying the component, if the EAN has been raised for a “Component” or “Engine” (Alphanumeric, 40). This component must have been defined in the “Create Component ID Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component and must be in “Active” status. |

Part Serial # |
The serial number of the part (Alphanumeric, 40), if the part number is serial number controlled. The part serial number must belong to the component number entered in the “Component #” field. Help facility available. |

Manufacturer Serial # |
The serial number of the manufacturer (Alphanumeric, 40). This manufacturer serial number must have been defined for the component in the “Create Component ID Information” activity of the “Aircraft” business component. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark a part serial number for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the part serial number selected in the multiline.
The system deletes the serial number details of the part from the EAN.
Click the “Edit Effectivity” pushbutton to update the modified details.
The system stores the login user ID and the server date along with the other modified details of the EAN.

This page allows you to modify and serial number effectivity details of the EAN. You can modify the part serial number details of only those EANs that are in the “Fresh” status. You can also delete the part serial number details of the EAN. The system stores the user ID and the server date along with the other modified details of the EAN.
