Modifying engineering advice note – An overview

This page allows you to modify the selected EAN. You can modify only those EANs that are in the “Fresh” status. You can modify details like the subject of the EAN, the category of the EAN, the keyword and the user status. You can modify the background details and the recommendations given earlier. You can also modify the approval details of the EAN.

If model numbers are not entered, the EAN is applicable for all the aircraft models in the organization unit. If the EAN is applicable only for selected aircraft models, the model numbers must be defined. You can further indicate, in the “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” page, whether the EAN is applicable for all or some of the aircraft belonging to the specified model. The original aircraft model number for which the EAN has been raised cannot be modified. You can also remove the model numbers of the aircraft, if the EAN is no longer applicable for them. Along with the model number, the aircraft effectivity details are also deleted.

This page also allows you to cancel an EAN. The ESR associated to the cancelled EAN is disassociated from the EAN and is available again for processing. The status of the cancelled EAN is updated to “Cancelled”.
