Request for Hiring – An Overview

This component enables supervisors / HR executives, to request for hiring human resources in the organization, whenever a requirement arises.  Requesting for hire is the first stage in recruitment where a supervisor / HR executive raises a hire request against a vacancy in an organization unit.

A supervisor can either directly submit a hire request using the “Request for Hire” activity or with the intervention of an HR user who must record the submitted hire request using the “Record Hire Request” activity.  The HR administrator must authorize the hire requests.  He/she can edit the details before authorizing.  To accept resumes from external candidates for a particular vacancy, the HR administrator can opt for displaying the vacancy on the Internet in the “Careers Section” in the website.  In addition, he/she can view a hire request and set its status.
