Selecting work center for attribute association
This page allows you to select a work center for associating attributes. Tell me more.
Select “Associate Work Center Attributes” link under the “Work Center” business component.
The “Select Work Center #” page appears.
Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box if you know the exact number of the work center to which the association must be done:
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Search for work center
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a particular work center. Data entry in these fields is optional:
Parent Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the parent work center to which the works center, for which attributes are to be associated, belongs. The system lists all the parent work centers of Work Center Class “Execution”, which have at least one child in the hierarchy under the login organizational unit. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work centers that are associated to the login organizational unit in the multiline. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Work Center # |
The number identifying the work center (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system displays all the work center numbers that are similar to the number entered here. |
Work Center Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work center to be retrieved. The work center could be of type “Hangar”, “Bay”, “Shop”, “Line” or “Others”. The system retrieves the work centers of type selected here. Leave this field blank, if you wish to retrieve all the work centers of the work center type. |
Work center Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the quick code to which the work center was associated in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system lists all the quick codes of type “Work center category” and of status “Active”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work centers irrespective of the quick code association. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system lists all the work centers whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system fills in the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline based on the filter criteria entered:

Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. |
Work Center Type |
The type to which the work center belongs which could be “Hangar”, “Bay”, "Shop", "Line" or “Others”. |
Work Center Category |
The quick code to which the work center was associated in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. |
Number Of Employees |
The number of employees associated to the work center in the “Associate Employees” page. The system displays “0” if you have not associated employees to the work center. |
Model Effectivity |
The system displays either “All” or “Restricted” depending on the association of aircraft models to the work center. |

The system displays either “All” or “Restricted” depending on the association of components to the work center. |

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the work centers for which you wish to define attributes.

Select the “Associate Facilities” link at the bottom of the page to associate facilities to the work center.
Select the “Associate Employees” link at the bottom of the page to associate employees to the work center.
Select the “Associate Warehouses” link at the bottom of the page to associate warehouses to the work center.
Select the “Edit Component Capability” link at the bottom of the page to define the component capability for the work center.
Select the “Edit Aircraft Model Capability” link at the bottom of the page to define the aircraft model capability for the work center.
Select the “Edit Exe. Org. Unit level work center Details” link at the bottom of the page enter the execution organization level details for the work center
Select the "Grant Access Privileges to Users" link at the bottom of the page to grant work center access privileges to users.
Select the “Associate Shift/Datewise Availability/Holiday Definition” link at the bottom of the page to associate shifts to the work center.
Select the “Maintain Alternate Work Centers” link at the bottom of the page to map alternates centers to the work center.
Select the “Maintain Standard Work Center Capacity” at the bottom of the page to record the available maintenance execution capacity in the work center.
Select the “Configure Maintenance Execution Slots” link to update slot details in the shifts in the work center.
Selecting work center for attribute association – An overview
In this page, you can select the work center for which you wish to define the attributes. You can directly define the attributes to the work center by entering the work center number, if you know the exact number. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the work center number, parent work center number, work center category and work center description. The details of the work center such as the work center number, work center description, work center category, number of employees, model applicability and component applicability are displayed in the multiline. You can select the work center for which you wish to define the attributes.
