Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to associate aircraft models to work centers. Tell me more.

The “Edit  Aircraft Model Capability” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the "Work Center Details" group box:

Work Center #

The work center to which the aircraft model must be associated. This work center must be of  Work Center Class “Execution”.

Work Center Type

The type of the work center which could be “Hangar”, “Bay”, "Shop", "Line" or “Others”.

Work Center Description

The textual description of the work center.

If aircraft models have already been associated to the work center, the system displays the details in the “Aircraft Model Capability Details” multiline. You can associate aircraft models to the work center by entering the following fields in the multiline:

Aircraft Model #

The number identifying the aircraft model (Alphanumeric, 20) Mandatory. Ensure that the model number entered here is already defined in the “Create Aircraft Model” activity of the “Aircraft“ business component.

Note: In the event of modifying the model number, the system displays an error message if you enter a model number that is already associated to this work center. Also, to delete an existing model, use the "Delete" box provided in the multiline.

The system displays the following fields in the multiline on clicking the “Edit Aircraft Model Capability” pushbutton.

Model Description

The textual description of the aircraft model.

Work Unit Effectivity

The system displays either “All” or “Restricted” depending on the association of work units to the aircraft model.

  • All - if you have not associated work units to the aircraft model. This indicates that all work units of the aircraft model can be served in the work center.

  • Restricted - if you have identified the work units and associated them to the aircraft model in the “Edit Aircraft Work Unit Capability” page. This indicates that only those associated work units can be served in the work center.

Note: The system fills in the “Description” and the “Work Unit Applicability” fields in the multiline and defines the association between the aircraft model and the work center
