Entering execution organization unit details for the work center
This page allows you to enter the execution organizational unit details for the work center. Tell me more.
Select the “Edit Exe. Org. Unit Level Work Center Details” link at the bottom of the “Select Work Center #” page.
The “Edit Exe. Org. Unit Level Work Center Details” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date & Time Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Work Center Details” group box on page launch:
Exe. Org Unit # |
The number identifying the login execution organizational unit |
Exe. Org Unit Desc |
The textual description of the execution organizational unit. |
Work Center # |
The work center for which the execution organizational unit details must be entered. |
Work Center Type |
The type of the work center, which could be “Hangar”, “Bay”, "Shop", "Line" or “Others”. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center. |

Station Name |
Use the drop-down list box to select the station that is mapped to the work center. The system lists all the stations that are in "Active" status, as defined in the “Create Station” activity of the “Common Master” business component. .The system leaves the field blank by default. You cannot modify the Station Name, if the ‘Mode of Usage’ defined for the Work Center is “Offline”. |
Note: Ensure that the station selected is unique to the work center displayed.
Work Phone # |
The work phone number (Alphanumeric, 30). |
Cost Center |
The code identifying the cost center (Alphanumeric, 10). The cost center entered here must be an active cost center, as defined in the “Cost Setup” business component. For the work center selected in the “Identify Exe. Unit Work Centers” page, you must specify the cost center, if the Accounting Process Parameter ‘CC Identification for Service Adjustment’ is set as "0" in the “Set Options” activity of the “Account Group” business component. Help facility available. |
Ref. Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the reference work center. The system lists all the ‘Active’ work centers whose ‘Work Center Class’ is set as “Reference” in the current business component. The system leaves the field blank, by default. The reference work center selected must not be mapped to more than one Work Center within the same station. |
Check one or more of the following boxes in the “Execution Capability Details” group box:
Hangar Jobs |
Check this box, if the work center is capable of performing hangar maintenance activities. |
Shop Jobs |
Check this box, if the work center is capable of performing shop maintenance activities. |
Line Jobs |
Check this box, if the work center is capable of performing line maintenance activities. |
All |
Check this box, if the work center is capable of performing all types of maintenance activities. |
Automatic Line Scheduling |
Check this box, if the work center is capable of performing line schedule automatically. |
Enter the following fields in the “Schedule Details” group box:
Rota Schedule Code |
The code identifying the Rota Schedule (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the rota schedule code is already defined in the “Maintain Rota Schedule” activity of the “Time Management Scheduling” business component and is in “Active” status. Help facility available. |

The textual description of the rota schedule. |
Rota Plan Code |
The code identifying the rota plan to which the rota schedule belongs. |
Rota Plan |
The textual description of the rota plan |
Effective From |
The date from which the rota schedule is valid |
Effective To |
The date till which the rota schedule is valid |
Note: The system retrieves the Rota Schedule, Rota Plan Code , Rota Plan , Effective From and Effective To details for a valid Rota Schedule Code, from the “Time Management Scheduling” business component.
Enter the following in the “Break Details” group box:
Lunch Start Time |
The time at which the lunch session starts, at the work center (Time Format). This field cannot be left blank, if the “Lunch End Time” is entered. |
Lunch End Time |
The time at which the lunch session ends, at the work center (Time Format). The value entered must be later than the “Lunch Start Time”. This field cannot be left blank, if the “Lunch Start Time” is entered. |
Dinner Start Time |
The time at which the dinner session starts, at the work center (Time Format).This field cannot be left blank, if the “Dinner End Time” is entered. |
Dinner End Time |
The time at which the dinner session ends, at the work center (Time Format). The value entered must be later than the “Dinner Start Time”.This field cannot be left blank, if the “Dinner Start Time” is entered. |
Note: If the “Dinner Start Time” and “Dinner End Time” are specified, ensure that the “Lunch Start Time” and the "Lunch End Time” are also entered.
Enter the following fields in the “Work Center Certification Details” multiline to add or modify the details:
Work Center Certificate # |
The number identifying the certificate that must be associated to the work center (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory |
Certificate Title |
The title of the certificate (Alphanumeric, 80). Mandatory |
Certifying Authority |
Use the drop-down list box to select the authority that issues the certificate. The system lists all the certifying authorities defined in the “Maintain Certifying Authority” activity of the “Logistics Common Masters” business component. |
Certificate Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the certificate type. The system lists all certificate types defined in the “Create Certificate Type” activity of the “Logistics Common Masters” business component. |
Note: The certificate #, certifying authority and certificate type combination must be unique for the work center. |

Certificate Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to select the certificate applicability. The system lists the options “Aircraft”, “Component” and "Aircraft & Component". |
Certificate Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the certificate group. The system lists all the active certificate groups defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. |
Date Of Issue |
The date on which the certificate is issued (Date Format) Mandatory |
Valid From |
The date from which the certificate is valid (Date Format). Ensure that this date is later than or equal to the date of issue. |
Valid To |
The date till which the certificate is valid (Date Format). Ensure that this date is later than the date entered in the “Valid From” field. |
Comments |
Any comment regarding the certificate (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Remarks |
Any remarks regarding the certificate (Alphanumeric, 255). |
File Name |
The name of the file that contains the certificate details (Alphanumeric, 30). Help facility available. |
Select the “View File” link provided at the bottom of the multiline to view the file contents.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the certificate for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the certificate selected in the multiline.
Click the “Edit Work Center Details” pushbutton to record the execution organizational unit work center details.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “Edit Certification Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to edit the certificate applicability details.
Entering exe.org.unit details for the work center – An overview
This page allows you to enter the schedule and certificate details for the execution organizational unit to which the work center is associated.
Schedule Details
The shift schedule details for the employee associated to the execution unit can be specified. A Rota Plan is a set of shifts, which may be applicable to a business unit or plant or organization etc. A Rota Schedule is created to assign and modify the duration of the grouped shifts in a Rota Plan. The Rota Schedule is already defined in the “Time Management Scheduling” business component. You can associate the Rota Schedule code to the organizational unit and work center combination.
Certificate Details
Certain certificates might be issued to a work center for carrying out maintenance work on an aircraft model, part number or part group. These certificates might pertain to quality, capability and performance of the work center. Such certificate details can be entered in this page. You can enter the certificate number, certificate title, certificate authority, certificate type, certificate applicability, certificate group, date of issue, certificate validity dates, remarks and file name.
