This activity allows you to associate warehouses from which the parts can be issued to the work center. You can also view the details of the warehouses that have been associated earlier. The warehouse from which the parts can be issued and the warehouse to which the parts must be returned can be entered.

The “Associate Warehouse” page appears.

The system displays the following fields in the “Work Details” group box:

Work Center #

The work center to which the warehouse must be associated. This work center must be of Work Center Class “Execution”.

Work Center Type

The type of the work center, which could be “Hangar”, “Bay”, "Shop", "Line" or “Others”.

Work Center Description

The textual description of the work center.

The system displays the following field in the “Warehouse Details” multiline:

Part Type

The type to which the part belongs

Serv. Request

 Warehouse #

The default warehouse for material request of parts. (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status. Help facility available.

Serv. Core Return Warehouse #

The default warehouse to which the Serviceable Core parts must be returned (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status. Help facility available.

Excess Serv. Return Warehouse #

The default warehouse to which the excess Serviceable parts must be returned (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

U/S Ret. Warehouse #

The default warehouse to which the Unserviceable parts must be returned (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

Ext. Repair Warehouse #

The default warehouse for the Unserviceable parts that will be shipped to external repair shops (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

Cust. U/S Shipping Warehouse #

The default warehouse for the Unserviceable parts to be shipped to customers (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

Cust. Serv. Shipping Warehouse #

The default warehouse for Serviceable parts to be shipped to customers (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

U/S Receiving Warehouse #

The default warehouse for receiving the Unserviceable parts to be repaired in the work center (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

Scrap Warehouse #

The default warehouse for parts deemed to be scrapped parts (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

Repair Receipt Warehouse #

The default warehouse for parts received against repair receipts. Ensure that the warehouse number entered here is already defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration“ business component and is in “Active” status.

Auto Return ?

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether Auto return of part is required/ applicable or not. The system displays the following options:.

§  Required- Select this option if  auto return of parts is required/ applicable

§  Not Required - Select this option if auto return of parts is not required/ not applicable

The system displays the value “Not required” by default.

Back Flushable

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether backflushing  is allowed  for the selected part type in the Issue Warehouse. The system displays the following options:.

§  Yes - Select this option if backflushing is allowed.

§  No - Select this option if backflushing is not allowed.

The system displays “No” by default.

Note: A component can be back flushed (in work reporting components) only if the issue warehouse of the work center is set back flushable.

Excess Return Policy

Use the drop-down list box to select the default warehouse for the return of excess parts. Select

  • Issue Warehouse #, to set the default return warehouse to the same warehouse that issued the parts.

  • Excess Serv. Return Warehouse # to set the default return warehouse for excess Serviceable parts to the warehouse # specified in the Excess Serv. Return Warehouse # field.

For the Part Type, if the warehouse is not mapped, the system allows you to map the warehouse.

Note: You cannot modify the existing warehouse mapping, if the ‘Mode of Usage’ defined for the Work Center is “Offline”.
