This section enables you to record scope of work to be performed under a contract.

Work Enumeration

A textual description of the scope of work.

Eff. Ref.

Use the drop-down list box to specify the object for which the work scope is defined. The system lists the following options if the Object Effectivity in the Primary Info Tab page is specified as “Both”:   

  • Part

  • Aircraft

  • All

Ensure that if “All” is specified in this field, no other row in the multiline with “Part” / “Aircraft” is specified with “All” as its “Obj. Eff. Ref”. More...

Eff. Ref. Code

Use the drop-down list box to specify the code corresponding to the object effectivity reference.

Data entry in this field is mandatory if the contract type is “Customer Specific” and if a value is specified in the “Obj. Eff. Ref.”.

Ensure the following:

  • The code specified in this field is “All” if the “All” is selected as the “Obj. Eff. Ref.”.

  • If “All” is specified in this field, no other row in the multiline with “Part” / “Aircraft” is specified with “All”. 

Work Scope Code

A unique number identifying the work scope. Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is specified in the “Obj. Eff. Ref.” field.

Ensure the following:

  • The work scope code number specified in this field does not have any special characters other than " - " or  " / “.

  • The work scope code specified in this field is a unique number within the contract.

  • The code specified in this field cannot be modified while editing / revising the contract.

Note that the work scope code must not have already been specified in the contract, or as a “Part Eff.Code”, “AC Eff.Code” or “Incl./Excl. Code”.

Applicability

Use the drop-down list box to specify the definition of the work that is to be performed on the object. Data entry is mandatory in this field if a value is specified in the “Work Scope Code” field.

  • Specified Work  - Indicates that the contract will cover only a specified work, eg overhaul

  • All – Indicates that the contract will cover all the tasks for a  part / aircraft

Note that if “All” is specified in this field for a given Obj. Eff. Ref. Code, “All” cannot be defined again as the applicability for the same Obj. Eff. Ref. Code again. 

Task #

The task which is to be performed on the aircraft.

Ensure that the number entered in this field is a valid task number as defined for the login OU in the “Maintenance Task” business component.

Leave this field blank if applicability is defined as “All”.

The system displays the following:

Task Description

The textual description of the task.

WBS Code

The number identifying the WBS code for a given task.

Pricing Basis

Use the drop-down list box to select the pricing basis for the task to be performed. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the pricing basis is selected as “Fixed Price by WU” in the “Part Effectivity” and “Aircraft Effectivity” tab pages

  • Fixed Price by WU - Indicates that the pricing is based on a fixed price on the objects serviced in a work unit.

  • T & M - Indicates that the pricing is based on the time and material spent to service an object.

  • Usage Based – Indicates that the pricing is based on the usage of the aircraft . For example, the number of hours the aircraft has flown.  

  • FP per Month - Select this option if you wish to price the respective task or object as fixed price per month..

  • Cost Reimbursable -  Indicates that the pricing will be done based on actual cost incurred for performing the job.

  • Cost Plus -  Indicates that the pricing will be done based on actual cost plus certain mark up

Ensure that If 'Cost Plus' is specified in the  Part or Aircraft Effectivity tab, then all the WS codes defined with reference to that Aircraft Effectivity/Part Effectivity  also has Pricing Basis as 'Cost Plus'.

Price Defn. for

Use the drop-down list box to specify the cost which will be considered as fixed for servicing an object.  Data entry in this field is mandatory if the pricing basis is selected as “Fixed Price by WU” in the “Part Effectivity” and “Aircraft Effectivity” tab pages. The system lists the following options:

  • Labour – Indicates that only the total man hours spent on the service of the object will be priced at a fixed rate.

  • Material – Indicates that only the total material spent on the service of the object will be priced at a fixed rate.

  • Other Resources – Indicates that only all the other resources spent on the service of an object will be priced at a fixed rate.

  • Task – Indicates that only the tasks involved in the service of the an object will be priced at a fixed rate.

Leave this field blank:

  • If the pricing basis is selected as “T & M” in the “Part Effectivity” and “Aircraft Effectivity” tab pages

  • If 'FP per Month' is selected as the Pricing Basis.

Notes

Any notes associated with the work to be performed.

Note: The system does not allow deletion of a record in the multiline while revising a contract, however, addition of a record can be done.

Note: Ensure that at least one record is available in the multiline while modifying / revising the contract.
