Recording exclusions for consumed parts
This section enables you to record exclusions for parts.
Select the "Exclusions - Consumed Parts" tab in the "Manage Sale Contract" page.
Enter the following fields:

Enter the following fields in the “Inclusion / Exclusion List” group box:

Use the drop-down list box to specify the consumed part for which the exclusions are defined. The system lists the following options:

Use the drop-down list box to specify the code corresponding to the consumed part effectivity reference. The system lists all the effectivity reference codes defined in their respective tab pages. |
Parts Excl. Eff. Code |
A unique user defined code for the contract representing the consumed parts against which you wish to record exclusions. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which you wish to record part exclusion details. Ensure the following:
Note that this field cannot be modified while revising a contract. Help facility available |
Mfr. Part # |
The number assigned to the part, by the manufacturer of the part for which you wish to record exclusion details. Ensure that the number specified in this field is a valid manufacturer part number as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. Note that this field cannot be modified while revising a contract. Help facility available |
Mfr. # |
The number identifying the manufacturer for whom you wish to record part exclusion details. Ensure that the number specified in this field is a valid manufacturer number. Note: The Mfr. Part # and Mfr. # must be a valid combination, corresponding to the Part # as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. Note that this field cannot be modified while revising a contract. Help facility available |
The system displays the following field:

Part description for the part for which you wish to record exclusion details. |
Covers Alternatives? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the alternative parts of a part is also excluded. The system displays the options “Yes” and “No”. |
Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of part for which you wish to record exclusions. It could be “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Consumable”, “Kit” and "Miscellaneous". |
Part Classification |
Use the drop-down list box to select the classification to which the part belongs. It could be “Rotable”, “Controllable” and “Repairable”. |
Part Group |
Use the drop-down list box to select the number identifying the part group for which you wish to record exclusions. |
Replacement Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of replacement that the part must undergo. The replacement type could be one of the following

LLP |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the estimated life of a part is limited. You can select from the options “Yes” and “No”. By default the system leaves this field blank |
Excl. Pricing Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the pricing basis for the parts which have been excluded. The system lists the following options:
The system displays “T & M” by default. |
Notes |
Any notes pertaining to the excluded consumed parts. |
Effective From |
The starting date from which the line item is effective for the consumed part. |
Effective To |
The ending date up to which the line item is effectilve for the consumed part. |
Click the “Save Part Exclusions” to record exclusions of consumed part to the contract.
To proceed, carryout the following:
Select the “Primary Info.” tab to record primary contract information
Select the "Aircraft Effectivity" tab to record the details of aircraft covered in the contract.
Select the "Part Effectivity" tab to record part covered in the contract.
Select the "Part Serial" tab to record serial numbers for the part covered in the “Part Effectivity” tab
Select the Work Scope - US Defense tab page to record work scope details for US Defense contracts.
Select the "Work Scope" tab to record the scope of work to be performed on the object covered in the contract.
Select the "TAT - Aircraft" tab to record TAT the time required to service an aircraft for a given effectivity .
Select the "TAT - Parts" tab to record the time required to service a part for a given effectivity or repair process code.
Select the "Incl. & Excl.- Task" tab to include / exclude pricing basis for objects serviced.
Select the “Contract Upload Summary” tab page to view a summary of mandatory tab pages for which data is to be provided.
Click the “Confirm Contract” pushbutton to confirm a contract.
Details must be saved in the “Aircraft Effectivity” page if the “Obj. Effectivity” is “Aircraft” or “Both”.
Details must be saved in the “Part Effectivity” page if the “Obj. Effectivity” is “Parts” or “Both”.
