Maintaining mark-up on cost plus pricing elements
This page enables you to define mark-up percentages.
The system displays the following fields:

Type The type of reference document for which markup is to be defined |

The number identifying the reference document. |
Customer Name |
Indicates the name of the customer with whom the contract is entered. |
Ref. Doc. Status |
Indicates the current status of the contract. |
Enter the following fields in the ‘Markup Details’ multiline:

Use the drop-down list box to specify the reference for which pricing is defined. The system lists the following options if Ref. Doc. Type is Contract:

Eff. Ref. Code |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the code corresponding to the effectivity reference. Mandatory. The system lists all the Effectivity Codes as defined in the tabs in which the 'Pricing Basis' is selected as 'Cost Plus”. Leave this field blank if “Other Direct Charges” is specified as the Eff. Code. |
Pricing Element |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the pricing element for which you wish to define markup. Mandatory. The system lists all the pricing elements as defined in the 'Price Defn. For' column in the respective tabs in which the pricing basis for the 'Eff. Ref. Code is selected as 'Cost Plus'. By default the system leaves this field blank. |

Use the drop-down list box to basis for Mark up. Mandatory. The system lists the following options:

Mark-Up Value

The Mark up value or % to be applied for the computation of Cost Plus mark up value for the job if the pricing basis is selected as ‘Cost Plus’. Ensure that the value entered in this field is as follows:

Eff. From |
The starting date from which the defined pricing is effective for the given object effectivity |
Eff. To |
The ending date up to which the defined pricing is effective for the given object effectivity. Ensure that the date entered in this field is a later date than the Effective From Date. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton.
The system performs the following:
Updates status as “Fresh” from “Draft” on saving the defined markups.
Allows markup definitions only for contracts /revision numbers that are in status other than Confirmed/Cancelled/Approved or Closed.
Pricing Basis must be specified as “Cost Plus”.
