Timesheet - An overview
Monitoring employee time and attendance details is one of the most challenging and tedious task for any organization. To meet this challenge, a comprehensive time and attendance system, Time Tracker is provided. This business process enables you to automate your time and attendance tracking and also includes Smart Card options. Also, the Time Tracker enables the creation of an interface if an integrating system already exists for managing the time booking entities. Through this Time Tracking system, the organization can closely monitor and control labor costs, minimize compliance risk, generate employee exception reports and reduce paperwork.
In this business process there are two major business components, Time Tracking Setup and Timesheet. While the Time Tracking Setup enables configuration of the timesheet master, the Timesheet component provides a complete time and attendance clocking system to record actual time and attendance.
This overview deals broadly with the Timesheet business component for the actual recording of time and attendance based on the processes you setup in the Time Tracking Setup master. In this component through the various activities you can perform the following:
Launching Kiosk
The Launch Kiosk activity enables the employee to record their attendance automatically via Smart Card login or Manual login.
Time tracking
This activity enables you to record direct and indirect time against work performed, time-off requests and manual attendance bookings. This can be done with the help of the various tab pages listed below:
Manual In / Out: This tab enables the employee to record his ‘In time’ or ‘Out time’ manually.
Clock: This tab facilitates a clocking system in which the employees can clock in their Direct or Indirect timesheet entries.
Manual: This section enables backdated time booking manually against direct and indirect booking types.
Time off: This tab deals with the recording time off requests.
Authorizing time records
This activity facilitates the supervisor to approve the timesheet, attendance and time-off records. This can be done with the help of the various tab pages listed below:
Day-Wise Summary: This section lists down the day-wise time record details of the reportees.
Timesheet Details: This section lists down the timesheet records of the reportees.
Time-Off Details: This tab enables the supervisor to view the Time off requests made by his reportees for authorization or rejection.
Attendance Details: In this section, the supervisor can view the attendance records of reportees and can do modifications if any.
Processing timesheet accounting
This activity enables account processing of all valid time records which are used for payroll processing.
Voucher Details: This section enables you to re-process, cancel or authorize a voucher.
Acc. Info: This tab enables you to view account information like the associated finance book, currency, transaction amount, cost center, base currency and other details.
Error Log: This section helps you to view error’s logged against all or a single Voucher #
