Select the “Create Standard Procedure” link under the “Maintenance Task” business component.
The “Create Standard Procedure Information” page appears.
Enter the following in the “Std. Procedure Details” group box:
SP Applicability |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the standard procedure is applicable for an “Aircraft”, “Engine” or a “Component”. The system sets the field to “Aircraft” by default. |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The number identifying the base aircraft model on which the standard procedure can be performed (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the aircraft model is already defined in the “Aircraft” business component and is in “Active” status. You must enter this field only when the SP applicability “Aircraft”. Help facility available. |
Std. Procedure # |
A unique number that identifies the standard procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This can be a combination of characters and digits. This number should be unique for the organizational unit. The standard procedure number must have not been defined in the “Create EO” of the “Engineering Order” component. |
ATA # |
The ATA chapter on which the standard procedure can be executed (Alphanumeric, 16).Ensure that the ATA chapter is already defined in the “Create ATA Chapter” activity of the “Aircraft” business component. Help facility available. |

Enter the following fields in the “Additional Information” group box:
Est. Elapsed Time |
The total time estimated for completing the standard procedure (Decimal). Mandatory. The estimated elapsed time also includes time required for performing pre-execution or post-execution activities. |

Use the drop-down list box provided alongside, to specify the unit of measurement for the time allotted for the standard procedure, which could be “Minutes”, “Hours” or “Days”. The system sets the field to “Hours” by default. |
Est. Man Hrs. |
The total man-hours estimated for “skill” type resources to execute the standard procedure (Decimal). Mandatory. You can provide a resource-wise breakup for the total estimated man-hours in the “Resource Information” page. |

Wrench Time |

Note: The time unit selected for the “Est. Elapsed Time” is set as the time unit for the Wrench Time and Ideal Time.
Enter the following field in the “Copy From” group box:
Std. Procedure # |
The standard procedure number, the details of which are to be copied into the standard procedure that is currently being defined (Alphanumeric, 30). The system allows you to selectively copy the spare part, resource, task relationship and effectivity details from the standard procedure entered in this field. Help facility available. |

Enter the following in the “Task Details” multiline:
Seq # |
The sequence in which the task should be performed in the standard procedure (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline. |
If you have leave the sequence number blank, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Create Standard Procedure” pushbutton. Ensure that you do not leave it blank for any of the tasks occurring in between. For any random entry of sequence numbers, the system assigns continuous sequence numbers starting from “1”. | |
Task # |
The task to be performed as part of the standard procedure (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. This task should have already been defined in the “Create task” activity and is in the “Active” status. |

Note: If a new task is added in the multiline the system copies the common effectivity details of all the tasks to the standard procedure. For example, if task T1 effectivity is (A1, A2, A3) and T2 effectivity is (A1,A2), then the system copies A1 and A2 as effectivity of Std. Procedure.
For the task entered, the system considers the latest revision in “Active” status.
The system fills in the following fields in the multiline on clicking the “Create Standard Procedure” pushbutton:

The unit of measurement for the time required for completing the task. |
Est. Elapsed Time |
The total time required for completing the task. The estimated elapsed time also includes time required for performing pre-execution or post-execution activities. |

The starting day for execution of each task in the standard procedure (Integer). The value entered here must be positive. |
The system displays the following field:

The Maintenance Planning Document item number of the task. |
Click the hyperlinked task description in the multiline, to view the task information.
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the task for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the tasks selected in the multiline.
If you wish to insert tasks in the multiline and assign sequence number for them, click the “Re - Number” pushbutton to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added task.

Click the View File link alongside to view the file details.
Click the “Create Standard procedure” pushbutton to create the standard procedure along with task entered in the multiline.
The system creates the standard procedure and sets the status of the created standard procedure as "Active". Also, the system generates the sequence number for those rows for which the sequence number has not been specified.
The system updates the “Starting Day” of the standard procedure as “1”, if no value is specified in the "Starting Day" field.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
If the estimated elapsed time entered for the standard procedure is lesser than the estimated elapsed time of any of the associated tasks, the system updates the estimated elapsed time of SP with the maximum value of the tasks.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Model Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to specify the aircraft models for which the standard procedure is applicable.
Select the “Edit Component Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to specify the components for which the standard procedure is applicable.
Select the “Edit Part Requirements” link at the bottom of the page to specify the spare parts that are required for executing the standard procedure.
Select the “Edit Resource Requirements” link at the bottom of the page to specify the resources that are required for executing the standard procedure.
Select the “Edit Task Relationships” link at the bottom of the page to specify the relationship between the tasks in the standard procedure.
Select the “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” link at the bottom of the page to identify the aircraft of the specified model, for which the standard procedure is applicable.
Creating a standard procedure – An overview
This page allow you to enter a unique number for the standard procedure and provide a description for it. You can enter a unique number for the standard procedure and provide a description for it. You can specify whether the standard procedure is applicable for the aircraft, component or engine. If the standard procedure is applicable for aircraft, you can enter the base aircraft model number.
You can also provide a reference to a standard procedure that is already defined and selectively copy details such as parts, resources, task relationships and model/component effectivity. You can define the tasks that belong to the standard procedure and the sequence in which the tasks have to be executed in the standard procedure.
The system assigns the “Active” status as soon as the standard procedure is created and sets the creation date and time to the server date and time.

Set “Task Applicability” field to “Aircraft” if you wish to create a standard procedure for aircraft.

Copy details from an existing standard procedure
You can copy details from tasks that are already defined. Details include parts, resource requirements, task relationship and model / component effectivity can be copied.
Enter the number of the standard procedure from which details must be copied, in the “Copy Details” group box.
Check one of the boxes “All”, “Additional Requirement”, “Task & Relationships”, “Effectivity” to specify the details to be copied.
Click “Create Standard Procedure” pushbutton to copy the details.
A new standard procedure is created with the copied details.
Generate sequence number for tasks belonging to the standard procedure
You have the option of entering the sequence number or generating the sequence number automatically for the various tasks in the multiline.
To enter the sequence number manually, enter the “Seq #” field in the “Task Details” multiline.
To generate the sequence number automatically, leave the “Seq #” field blank in all the rows in the multiline.
The system automatically assigns a sequence number to each of them, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Create Standard Procedure” pushbutton.
If you wish to insert sub tasks in the multiline
and assign sequence number for them, click the “Re - Number” pushbutton
to rearrange the existing rows in the ascending order of the sequence
number. The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five,
thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added
tasks.
