Create Standard Procedure – A summary of the activity
This activity enables you to define a standard procedure. A standard procedure is a collection of tasks grouped together to carry out a specific maintenance activity. Tasks, that have to be performed to resolve a problem in the equipment, and that needs to be monitored together, can be grouped into a standard procedure. Maintenance tasks that are identified in the standard procedure` can contain relationship to one another. The relationship between the tasks can be a “Start – Start relationship”, “Start – Finish relationship”, “Finish – Start relationship” or a “Finish – Finish relationship”. Refer to the “Entering task relationship details for a standard procedure” topic for more details on task relationship.
A unique number identifies each standard procedure.
You can specify the parts and the resources required for executing the standard procedure, in the “Edit Part Requirements” and the “Edit Resource Requirements” pages respectively.
The “Edit Model Effectivity” page allows you to define the applicability of the standard procedure to aircraft models. You can specify the component details in the “Edit Component Effectivity” page and the relationship between the tasks belonging to the standard procedure, in the “Edit Task Relationships” page.

What you can do in this activity
Group multiple tasks into a standard procedure
Specify task relationships in a standard procedure
Define aircraft model or component effectivity for the standard procedure
Create standard procedure involving multiple resources and parts
Group multiple tasks into a standard procedure
You can define the tasks that belong to the standard procedure and the sequence in which the tasks have to be executed in the standard procedure.
Go to “Create Standard Procedure Information” page.
Enter the tasks that have to be included in the “Task Details” multiline.
Specify task relationships in a standard procedure
Tasks that are identified in the standard procedure can contain relationships to one another. You can identify one or more preceding tasks for every task included in the standard procedure. The type of relationship of the task with each of the preceding tasks together with the time lag, if any, can also be specified.
The relationship can be Start – Start relationship, Finish – Finish relationship, Finish – Start relationship, Start – Finish relationship.
Use the “Edit Task Relationship” page to enter the task relationship details.
Define aircraft model or component effectivity for the standard procedure
If the standard procedure is applicable for “Aircraft”, you can define the model effectivity, that is, indicate the aircraft models for which the standard procedure is applicable.
Use the “Edit Model Effectivity” page to identify aircraft models for the standard procedure.
Use the “Edit Aircraft Effectivity” page to identify the individual aircraft, belonging to the specified model, for the standard procedure.
If the standard procedure is applicable for “Engine” or “Component”, you can define the component effectivity, that is, indicate the components for which the standard procedure is applicable.
Use the “Edit Component Effectivity” page to identify the components for the standard procedure.
Create standard procedure involving multiple resources and parts
Use the “Edit Resource Requirements” page to enter resources required for executing the standard procedure.
Use the “Edit Part Requirements” page to enter parts required to execute the standard procedure.
