Viewing task details for engineering document
In this page, you can view the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the engineering document. Tell me more.
Select the “View Task Details” link at the bottom of the “View Engineering Document” page.
The “View Task Information” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Eng. Doc # |
The engineering document for which the task details are displayed. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the engineering document. |
Subject |
The textual description of the engineering document. |
Applicability |
The applicability of the engineering document which could be “Aircraft”, “Component” or “Engine”. |
Expense Type |
The type of expense incurred while purchasing the part, which could be “Capital” or “Revenue” |
The system displays the following in the “Task Details” multiline:
Task Classifier |
The task to be performed for executing the engineering document is classified as “New”, “Existing” or “Improvised”, as explained below: |

The number identifying the applicability group based on which the engineering task is to be executed. |
Task # |
The number identifying the task that must be performed for engineering document execution. |
Revision # |
The revision number of the task that must be performed for engineering document execution. |

Prog. Item Type |
The system displays any one of the following Program Item Types:

Conditionally Evaluated? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the execution of the task is an outcome of the execution of a parent task. You can select from the options “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default. |
Task Category |
The category of the task. |
Task Type |
The type of the task. |
Operations Type |
The operation type of the maintenance activity, which can be either “Flight Ops” or “Repair Station”. |
Time Unit |
The time unit for the time estimated to complete the task. |
Est. Elapsed Time |
The total time estimated for completing the task. |
Est. Man Hrs. |
The total man-hours estimated for “Skill” type of resources to complete the task. |
DSC # |
The dependent system condition to which the task is associated. |
DSC Description |
The textual description of the dependent system condition. |
AMM / CMM Item # |
The Aircraft Maintenance Manual or the Component Maintenance Manual item number given in the respective manuals. |
File Name |
The name of the file that is attached to the task. |
Long Description |
The long description of the task (Alphanumeric, 2000) |
Base Aircraft Model # |
The base aircraft model associated to the task |
The system displays the following in the “Task Details” multiline:

Indicates whether part, resource, access panel, work area or zone, sub task, notes and reference details are entered for the task. The system displays the following:
If more than one detail exists for the task, “/” is used as the separator between the values listed above. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to select the task for viewing the part requirement, resource requirement, access panel, work area / zone, notes, task reference and sub task details.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “View Sub Tasks” link at the bottom of the page to view the sub-task information for the tasks.
Select the “View Parts Requirements” link at the bottom of the page to view the parts that are required for executing the task.
Select the “View Resource Requirements” link at the bottom of the page to view the resource details that are required for executing the task.
Select the “Edit Parameter Reading / Maint. Evaluation” link to view the maintenance conditional parameter requirements of a task and conditional evaluation of tasks.
Select the “View Schedule Information” link to view the schedule information of the tasks in the Engineering Document.
Select the “Maintain Task Relationship” link to maintain task relationship.
Select the “View Work Area / Zone Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the work area and the zone where the task has to be executed.
Select the “View Certificate Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the certificate information for the tasks.
Select the “View Task Notes” link at the bottom of the page to view general information pertaining to the task.
Select the “View Task References” link at the bottom of the page to view the reference details for the task.
The system displays the following in the "Reference Document Details" group box:

Select the “View Access Panel Information” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the access panels that have already been identified for the task.
Select the “View Task Card” link at the bottom of the page to view the task card created in the third party application.

Select the “View AMM Reference” link at the bottom of the page, to view the details of aircraft maintenance manual for the task.
Select the “View Task Notes” link to history of notes against the task from the engineering order.
Viewing task details for engineering document – An overview
In this page, you can view the details of the tasks that must be performed while executing the engineering document.
You can select an aircraft model and view the task details in this page.
A standard procedure is a collection of tasks grouped together to carry out a specific maintenance activity. Tasks, which have to be performed to execute an engineering document, can be grouped into a standard procedure. The standard procedure and tasks, specified for the engineering document in the “Edit Engineering Document” activity, can be viewed in this page.
The standard procedure number and the standard procedure description are displayed by the system. The task number, whether the task is a new, existing or improvised task, task revision number, description, type of the task, time unit, total time and total man-hours estimated for task completion, are displayed in the multiline. The Dependent System Condition (DSC) to which the task is associated, description of the DSC and the AMM / CMM reference document for the task are also displayed.
