Through this activity, an employee can edit the request that he had made to the supervisor for a shift deviation. The request must have been made through the “Request Employee Shift Deviation” activity. If the request has been authorized already, it cannot be accessed for editing.
Note: To view the authorized details of a shift deviation request, enter the “View Employee Timetable” page.
Editing the request is also allowed if the request had been rejected. The reason for rejection is shown
Shift Deviation: A shift deviation refers to allocating the employee to a different shift from the one to which he is currently assigned. The shift deviation will be for an effective period.
For instance, when a breakdown of machinery occurs, employees will be rescheduled. Rescheduling could imply that employees working on a morning shift are transferred to the general shift, until the machinery is restored.
Deleting the Record: You can also delete the request.
What You Are To Carry Out: You are to select the request number, from among the request numbers that were generated by the system to identify your shift deviation requests. When you select the request, you can also view its status. You can edit
The period for which the shift is applicable.
The shift to which a shift deviation is requested
Weekly Off: Although the employee’s shift has been changed for a specified period, the weekly off that is part of his original rota schedule, will remain the same. The exception is when you request a shift deviation separately for weekly off. This is described in Weekly off deviation
