Through this activity, you can either abort or reset:
The increment set processing of employee records applicable to a specified Session ID. The processing of the increment set must have been initiated in the “Process Increments” activity,
The authorization of the increment set processing. The authorization must have been carried out in the “Authorize Increments” activity.
Retrieving the batch of records to abort or reset: To retrieve the processed or authorized session ID, you are to specify the following combination of filters
The increment set ID
Whether the stage is “processing” or “authorization”
The increment month, for anniversary based, or the date from which the increment will become effective, for adhoc increment sets. See Example
The session ID
Aborting the processing of an increment set: By aborting the processing of increment set, you stop processing of employee records after it has been initiated. Normally, you abort a process when you don’t anticipate the output to be as desired. For example, after initiating a increment set process you find that certain entries have not been recorded. In such instances, you abort the process, incorporate the necessary changes and again initialize the process. Initializing the process is referred to as resetting it.
Resetting the processing of the increment set: Resetting an increment set process means that you have readied the aborted employee records for processing. Resetting involves entering the same filters as aborting
Viewing the Error Log: When you process or authorize an increment set, the system checks whether the required conditions are met. If it identifies any conditions that are not met, it records them as errors and displays them. You can view these errors and rectify them before proceeding. You can also record comments, remarks or opinions.
