Glossary

Basics of using a Ramco Enterprise Series web page

The “Set Increment Process Status” page appears.

Increment Unit

From the “Increment Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which you require the increment set processing to be aborted / reset. Tell me more

Increment Set ID

Enter  the code of the increment set whose processing must be aborted / reset..

Help available

The system displays the increment description, type and pattern for the increment set ID.

Increment Month

If you want to retrieve the batch of employee records for any month other than the most recent month for which the increment was processed, choose from this field.

From the drop-down list box, choose the month for which you require the processed records of eligible employees to be retrieved. See Example. Enter the year, in the adjacent field.

This is applicable for anniversary-based increments only.

Increment Effective From Date

Enter  the date for which you require the processed records of eligible employees to be retrieved.

This is applicable for adhoc increments only.

Session ID

The Session ID that was generated for the combination of the Increment Set ID and the selected Increment Month.

Help available.

Note: Alternatively, you can specify all three before selecting the "Get Details" pushbutton: (i) Increment Set ID, (ii) Increment Month or Increment Effective From Date and (iii) the Session ID. The system will retrieve the specific batch of employee records you require.

Another alternative is to enter only the Increment Set ID and Session ID, and select the "Get" pushbutton. By default, the system displays the most recent month or date for which the increment set was processed, in the "Increment Month" or "Increment Effective From Date" fields.

To abort or reset increment set processing

The system displays the following details of the processed increment set:

Increment Set Description

The name or description of the increment set

Increment Type

Either “Scale based” or “Non-scale based” is displayed, to indicate whether the increment amount will be based on the employee’s scale.

Increment Pattern

Either “Anniversary” or “Adhoc” is displayed, to indicate the frequency for assigning the increment set to the employees.

“Anniversary” indicates that the increment set will be updated to the employee’s base salary after every one year from the employee’s date of joining.  “Adhoc” indicates that the increment set is updated to the employee’s base salary at other user-defined frequencies.

Process Status

The current status of the session ID.

The "Process Status" field is updated to "Abort" or "Reset".

To abort or reset increment set authorization

The system displays the increment set description, increment type and increment pattern for the authorized increment ID you had selected.

The “Process Status” field is updated to “Abort” or “Reset”.
