Through this activity, you can set the values of certain parameters that will affect the processing of all increment sets within an organization unit. You can set the following:
Consider only the base salaries of the primary assignments of employees, when processing the increment set This parameter is applicable, after you specify those employees who are eligible for a specific increment set, in the “Define Eligibility for Increments” page. Tell me more. After increment set is processed and authorized, the system will update only the base salaries attached to the primary assignments across the employment unit.
Specify the date on which the increment will become effective, for the employee. In other words, it is the date on which he or she will actually receive the monetary benefit. On the date that you specify, the increment value will become effective and create a history record for the employee’s base salary, in the Employee Compensation Information component.
Specify the maximum number of increments that can be given to an employee who is already at the upper limit of his or her scale. For instance, an employee can be in the last slab of a given scale 3950-4550, where he is drawing 4200. See example.
See Updating the Employee Compensation Information component.
The parameters you specify in this activity will affect all the increment IDs under the organization unit.
