Execute visit package – A summary of the activity
The visit package forms the primary execution document through which a major check on an aircraft is planned and executed. The visit package is an aggregation of all the maintenance activities that needs to be accomplished during the visit of an aircraft to the maintenance execution facility. Besides forming the means for pre-execution planning of a visit, it also acts as the control unit for monitoring the various activities during the course of execution. The visit package is assigned to a primary work center, which acts as the primary responsibility center for the check execution.
In this activity, you can schedule the work orders that are to be performed as part of the visit package, record the preliminary inspection details and report the work execution details, actual part and resource consumed for the visit package and the employee work details. You can create a return slip for the unused or excess parts and record the work delay details, additional parts consumed and additional tasks that are executed.
You can issue a certificate of maintenance for the visit package and view the visit package details.

Depending on the maintenance jobs carried out on the aircraft and it’s components, there might be a need to update certain parameters. For example, while the aircraft is grounded, the APU is used to supply power to all the required systems. In this case, the APU run hours must be updated. Test runs of critical components such as engines might also be carried out, while executing the maintenance job. The respective parameter values can be updated as part of the work order-task or visit package.
Use the “Update Engine / APU Usage” page to record the parameter values.
You can create, authorize or cancel a Certificate of Maintenance (CoM). A Certificate of Maintenance is issued on completion of each aircraft visit. The system automatically generates a CoM number, when a CoM is issued after the aircraft visit.
