Edit Work Package – A summary of the activity
The “Edit Work Package” activity allows you to modify the details of the work package that is already defined. The ”Select Work Package” page allows you to enter the search criteria and select the work package to be modified. The selected work package can be modified in the “Edit Work Package” page.
The date-based and usage-based schedules for the work package can be modified in the “Edit Date Based Schedule Information” and “Edit Usage Based Schedule Information” page respectively. You can define the relationship between various tasks and standard procedures that are part of the work package in "Edit Relationship Details" page.
You can modify the parts for performing the work package in the “Estimate Material Requirement” page. The “Estimate Resource Requirement – Facilities” allows you to specify the resource of type “Equipment” and “Tools” and “Estimate Resource Requirement – Skills” pages allow you to specify the resource “Skills” type required for executing the work package.
The “Edit Part Effectivity Information” page allows you to modify the applicability of the work package to the parts. The work center details can be viewed in the “View Work Center Details” page. The “Update Work Unit Information in Programs“ page allows you to update the selected work unit details in the part or component maintenance program.

What you can do in this activity

You are allowed to modify all the details pertaining to a work package in the “Active” status.
Select a work package in the “Select Work Package” page.
Go to the “Edit Work Package” page.
Modify the details and click the “Edit Work Package” pushbutton.
The modified work package details are stored.
Modify date-based and usage-based schedules
The schedules define the interval for the execution of each work unit. The schedules can be date-based or usage-based. Date-based schedules have their periodicity defined in terms of calendar days. The schedule for the next performance of the maintenance activity will be specified in terms of a calendar date.
Use the “Edit Date Based Schedule Information” page to modify the date-based schedule for the work package.
Usage-based schedules are dependent on the usage of the component and are based on the consumption parameters of the component. The schedule for the next performance of a maintenance activity will be specified in terms of the value for the consumption parameter.
Use the “Edit Usage Based Schedule Information” page to modify the usage-based schedule for the work package.
Modify parts and resources details required for the work package
Use the “Estimate Material Requirement” page to modify the parts required to execute the work package.
Use the “Estimate Resource Requirement – Facilities” page to modify the resources of the equipment or tools type required for executing the work package.
Use the “Estimate Resource Requirement – Skills” page to modify the resources of the skills type required for executing the work package.
You can select the work unit included in the work package and update the details in the part program and component maintenance program.
Select the work unit to be updated in the maintenance program in the “Edit Work Package” page.
Use the “Edit Work Unit Information in Programs” page to update the work unit details.
Define part effectivity for the work package
You can define the part effectivity details for the work package. Part effectivity indicates the parts for which the work package is applicable.
Use the “Edit Part Effectivity Information” page to identify the parts for the work package.
You can search for a primary or secondary work center and view its details.
Use the “View Work Center Information” page to view the work center details.
