Selecting work package for modification

This page allow you to select a work package to be modified. Tell me more.

Select the ”Edit Work Package” under the “Component Maintenance Program” business component.

The “Select Work Package” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the exact work package number to be modified:

Work Package #

The number identifying the work package for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30).

Select the “Edit Work Package” link displayed alongside to modify the work package information.

To search for a work package

Enter the following in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a work package. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Work Package #	The number identifying the work package for which the details are to be modified (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work packages that are similar to the value entered here.
Work Package Description	The textual description of the work package to be modified in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 150). The system lists all the work packages whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here.
Work Center #	Use the drop-down list box to specify the work center of the work package to be modified. The system retrieves all the work packages that are associated with the work center specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work packages irrespective of the work center number. The system leaves the field blank by default.
Work Package Type	Enter the type of the work package to be modified in full or specify it partially using the “*” character (Alphanumeric, 30). The system lists all the work packages whose types are similar to the type entered here.
Ref Doc Type	Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the reference document. The system retrieves all the work packages that are associated with the reference document type specified here. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work packages irrespective of the reference document type. The system leaves the field blank by default.
Ref Doc #	The number identifying the reference document (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the work packages whose reference document numbers are similar to the number entered here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline based on the search criteria specified:

Work Package #	The number identifying the work package.
Work Package Description	The textual description of the work package.
Work Package Type	The type of the work package.
Work Center #	The number identifying the work center where the work package has to be performed.
Work Center Description	The textual description of the work center.

Click the hyperlinked work package number in the multiline, to modify the work package details.

Selecting work package for modification – An overview

You can select a work package to be modified in this page. If you know the exact work package number to be modified, you can enter it directly. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the work package number, description, work center, its type, reference document type and reference document number. The details of the selected work package such as the work package number, its description, type, work center where the work package has to be performed and its description are displayed in the multiline.
