This page allows you to add or modify the details of parts required for executing the work package. Tell me more.

The “Estimate Material Requirement” page appears.

The system displays the following in the “Work Package Details” group box:

Work Package #

The number identifying the work package selected for which the material requirement details must be specified.

Work Package Description

The textual description of the work package.

Primary Work Center #

The number identifying the work center where the work package has to be performed.

Work Center Desc.

The textual description of the work center.

Note: On launching the page, the system displays the material requirement that have already been defined for the work package.

Part #

The part required for completing the work package (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. The part number is must have already been defined in the “Part Administration“ business component, in the “active” status and must be unique to the multiline.

 

Help facility available.

Note: In the event of modifying an already associated part number and type, the system displays an error message. Also, to delete an existing part number, check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline and click the Delete icon.

The system fills in the following field after you click the “Edit Material Estimates” pushbutton:

Part Type

The type of the part.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

UOM

The unit of measurement for the part (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure the specified UOM is valid for the specified part and in the “active” status.

Reqd. Qty

The number of parts required for completing the work package (Decimal). Mandatory. Ensure that the number entered in this field is positive.

 

note: You can enter the required quantity in fraction, if the UOM allows fractions as defined in the “Create UOM” activity of the “Unit of Measurement Administration” business component.

Warehouse #

The number that identifies the warehouse from where the part is delivered (Alphanumeric, 10). Ensure this is a valid warehouse as defined in the “Create Warehouse Information” activity of the “Storage Administration” business component and in the “active” status.

Note: Ensure that the part # entered is associated to the corresponding warehouse.

The system displays the following field when you click the “Edit Material Estimates” pushbutton:

Part Cost

The cost of the part as defined in the “Part Administration“ business component.

Note: Ensure that at least one part detail is entered in the multiline.

Note: The system calculates the part cost for the quantity of parts in the multiline.

This page allows you to add or modify the details of parts required for executing the work package. The details such as part number, type, required quantity, UOM and the warehouse can be specified against each part. The system updates the part details and stores the name of the currently logged in user and the current server date.
