Identifying execution unit work centers
This page allows you to associate work centers to organizational units. Tell me more.
Select “Identify Exe. Unit Org Unit Work Centers” link under the “Work Center” business component.
The “Identify Exe. Unit Org Unit Work Centers” page appears.
The system displays the following fields in the “Org.Unit Details” group box:
Exe. Org Unit # |
The organizational unit to which you have logged into. |
Exe. Org Unit Desc |
The name of the organizational unit. |
If work centers have already been associated to the login organizational unit, the system displays the details in the “Work Center Details” multiline. You can associate more work centers to the login organizational unit by entering the following fields in the multiline:

The number identifying the work center to be associated to the login organizational unit (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the work center has already been defined in the “Create Work Center” activity and is in “Active” status. The system allows you to associate work centers that are defined in organizational units other than the login organizational unit. |

The system displays the following field on clicking the “Associate Work Centers” pushbutton:

The textual description of the work center.

Work Center Type |
The type of the work center which could be “Hangar”, “Bay” or “Others”. |
Work Center Class |
The work center class may be one of the following:

Note: Work Centers of type "Hangar" or "Bay" associated to Organizational Unit, which has Station mapping in “Common Master” business component alone, will be considered for Maintenance planning in PLN and LIN modules.
Enter the following field:
Association Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of association of work center to the organizational unit. The system lists the options "Active" and "Inactive". By default, this field is set to "Active". |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the work center for deletion or to define attributes for the selected work center.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the work centers selected in the multiline.
Click the “Associate Work Centers” pushbutton to associate the work center to the login organizational unit.
Note: The system creates the association between the work center and the login organizational unit. The work center, associated to the login organizational unit, is assigned the level “0” in the hierarchy.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Associate Facilities” link at the bottom of the page to associate facilities to the work center.
Select the “Associate Employees” link at the bottom of the page to associate employees to the work center.
Select the “Associate Warehouses” link at the bottom of the page to associate warehouses to the work center.
Select the “Edit Aircraft Model Capability” link at the bottom of the page to define the aircraft model capability for the work center.
Select the “Edit Component Capability” link at the bottom of the page to define the aircraft component capability for the work center.
Select the “Edit Exe. Org Unit level Work Center Details” link at the bottom of the page to modify the work center association details.
Select the “Grant Access Privileges to Users” link at the bottom of the page to grant access privileges to user.
Associating work centers to organizational units – An overview
This page allows you to associate work centers to the login organizational unit. The system displays the work centers that are already associated to the login organizational unit. You can re-define the organizational unit - work center association, by adding new work centers or deleting work centers that are already associated. You can enter the work center number directly, if you know the exact number. Otherwise you can use the help facility to search for a particular work center number.
