Maintenance Task - An overview
The maintenance actions that need to be administered on the assets (aircraft & components) related to aviation operations, are prescribed by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The nature of each maintenance action and the method/procedure for its execution is described in the form of a “Maintenance Task”. The maintenance program for an aircraft and its sub-assemblies is configured using the maintenance task; the task also forms the basis for work execution and controlling.
The “Maintenance Task” business component facilitates building up of the task library for both aircraft and components. The approval and control requirements for the task records are also established.
