Maintain Component Maintenance Program – A summary of the activity
In this activity you can define the maintenance program for the component. The Component Maintenance Program (CMP) is identified by the component ID of the component. It can either be created directly at the component level, or details can be copied from the part program in bulk at the part number level. In either case, the program details such as the work units and their schedules can be modified.
Engineering changes get automatically updated with work units and schedules, upon the release of an engineering order. The CMP contains all the scheduled maintenance-related details pertaining to the component. It has the work units that need to be performed on the component, along with the schedules for execution of the work unit, the last performed value and the next schedule value. You can select the component and define the maintenance program details in the “Edit Component Maintenance Program Information” page.

What you can do in this activity
Define maintenance program for component
Record date based and usage based schedule
Define multiple resources and parts for the work units included in the maintenance program
Define maintenance program for component
You can select the component and define the maintenance program details for the selected component.
Go to the “Select Component #” page to select the component using the search criteria.
Use the “Edit Component Maintenance Program” page to define the maintenance program for the component.
Record date based and usage based schedule
The schedules define the interval for the execution of each work unit. The schedules can be date-based or usage-based. Date-based schedules have their periodicity defined in terms of calendar days. The schedule for the next performance of the maintenance activity will be specified in terms of a calendar date.
Use the “Edit Date-based Schedule Information” page to define the date-based schedule for the work unit.
Usage-based schedules are dependent on the usage of the component and are based on the consumption parameters of the component. The schedule for the next performance of a maintenance activity will be specified in terms of the value of the consumption parameter.
Use the “Edit Usage-based Schedule Information” page to define the usage-based schedule for the work unit.
Define multiple resources and parts for the work units included in the maintenance program
Use the “Estimate Material Requirement” page to enter the parts required to execute the work unit.
Use the “Estimate Resource – Facilities Requirement” page to enter the resources of the equipment or tools type required for executing the work unit.
Use the “Estimate Resource – Skills Requirement” page to enter the resources of the skills type required for executing the work unit.
You can search for a primary or secondary work center, and view its details.
Use the “View Work Center Information” page to view the work center details.
