Defining Pricing Profile

The “Pricing Profile” tab page appears by default on launch of the “Manage Part Pricelist” activity in the “Part Pricelist” business component.

Select the "Pricing Profile" tab in the "Manage Part Pricelist" page.
Enter the following fields in the “Pricing Profile” tab:

Pricing Element

Use the drop-down list box to specify the pricing element for which attributes can be selected. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the type of the pricelist is “Regular”. The system lists the following options:

Part Price - Indicates the price charged on the part.
Exchange Fee - Indicates the fee to be charged for exchange of parts.
Handling Fee - Indicates the fee to be charged for maintenance and service of customer–owned parts.
Buy Back - Indicates the price to be paid to the customer for the parts bought back from them.

Ensure that no value is selected in this field if the “Rule Based” check box is checked in the “Pricing Profile” tab page.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Rule Based

Check this checkbox to indicate that the pricing for a given part pricelist is based on the customized rules.

Ensure that this check box is checked if rules are specified in the “Rule” field.

Note that modifications to this field is allowed only when the Revision # of the pricelist is “0” before it is confirmed.

Rule

A set of customized codes / rules based on which pricing is calculated.Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “Rule Based” check box is checked.

Ensure the following:

That the rule specified in this field does not have any space or special character except underscore.
The rule specified here does not already exist in the “Pricing Profile” page

The system displays the following fields in the “Pricing Attributes” multiline:

Pricing Attributes	Attribute of a part / stock based on a combination of which prices are defined. See Table.
Attribute Type	The attribute type of the Pricing Attribute which is either part or stock.

Enter the following field in the “Pricing Attributes” multiline:

Applicable?

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether an attribute is applicable or not for the Pricing Element. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”. Data selection in this field is mandatory if for a pricelist, Pricing Profile has not already been defined.

Ensure the following:

That applicability is specified after selecting a Pricing Element.
That the pricing profile is defined (i.e. “Yes” or “No” is specified as the applicability) for at least one pricing element if the pricelist type is “Regular”.

Ensure that no value is selected in this field if the “Rule Based” check box is checked in the “Pricing Profile” tab page

By default the system leaves this field blank.

To proceed, carry out the following:

Select the “Factored Pricing” tab to define the price factor at each pricing element level.
Select the “Ref. Pricelist Priority” tab to define priority for alternate pricelist.
Select the “Max Price – Appl. Pricelists” tab to capture Ref. Catalogue IDs and its Price Factors.

Note: This tab appears only if the ‘Factored on’ is set as “Price List with Max Price” in the “Factored Pricing” tab.

Select the "Slab Definitions" tab to define the price factor and Base Adj. factor based on the slab against a pricing line.
Select the “Direct Pricing” tab to define prices directly.
Select the "Price Factor Details" tab to define factor pricing breakups.

Prerequisites

Price must be defined for at least one Part # if “OEM” or “Ref. Catalogue ID” is selected as the “Pricelist Type” in the “Other Pricing Details” group box in the header.
