Defining factor at pricing element level
Select the “Factored Pricing” tab in the “Manage Part Pricelist” activity in the “Part Pricelist” business component.
Note: The system displays this tab only if the process parameter “Definition of Price factor details in Part Pricelist” for the parameter “Part Pricelist” in the “Set Sales Process Parameters” activity of the “Customer” business component is set as “Required” or “Specific Pricelist”.
Note: Date entry in this tab page is not required if rules are defined in the “Pricing Profile” tab page.
The factored pricing is defined for a pricing element with the combination of attributes. The Price factor is specified and the Reference Pricelist type on which the Price Factor needs to be applied.
Enter the following field in the “Factored Pricing” multiline:
Pricing Criteria |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the pricing criteria for the pricing elements for which more than one combination of pricing is defined in the factored pricing. Data Selection in this field is mandatory if more than one pricing combination is defined for a pricing element for regular type of pricelist.

Multiple Criteria Match |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the price to be considered when there are multiple pricing combinations with different prices. Data selection in this field is mandatory if “Max Parameter Match” is selected as the “Pricing Criteria” for regular type of pricelist. The system lists the following options if “Max Attribute Match” is specified as the “Pricing Criteria”:

Pricing Element |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the pricing element for which price is being defined after considering the attributes assigned in the pricing profile. The system lists the following options if the Pricing Profile is defined for that Pricing Element:

LLP? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the estimated life of the part is limited (Life Limited Part). You can select from the options “Yes” and “No”. By default the system leaves this field blank |
Replacement Type |
The type of replacement that can be carried out on the part. The system lists the following options if for a given pricing element, “Yes” is selected as the applicability for the attribute type, “Replacement Type” in the “Pricing Profile” tab:

Part Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the part for which pricing has to be defined. The system lists the following, if for a given pricing element, “Yes” is selected as the applicability for the attribute type, “Part Type” in the “Pricing Profile” tab: All the values defined for the part type in the “Part Administration” business component. You can select form the options, “Raw Material”, “Component”, “Expendable”, “Tool”, “Miscellaneous”, “Consumable”, and “Kit”. By default the system leaves this field blank |
Part Group |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the code identifying the part group for which the pricing details must be recorded. The system lists the following if for a given pricing element, “Yes” is selected as the applicability for the attribute type, “Part Group” in the “Pricing Profile” tab: All the active values created in the “Create Part Groups” activity of the “Part Administration” business component having the following settings:
Ensure that the part group is already defined as “Controlled” part group with purpose as “Pricing” in the “Part Administration” business component and it is in “Active” status. |
Part Classification |
Use the drop down list box to classify the component part as ''Rotable'', ''Repairable'', ''Controllable'' or “None”. By default the system leaves this field blank |
Condition |
Use the drop-down list box to select the condition of the part as: “New”, “New Surplus”, “Over Hauled”, “Phased-Out”, “Serviceable” or “UnServiceable”. By default the system leaves this field blank |
Stock Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the stock status of the part. The system lists the following:

Prorated? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether pricing has to be in proportion to its usage for life limited parts. Data selection in this field is mandatory if “LLP” is specified as “Yes”. The system lists the options:

Factored On |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the reference Pricelist type or Part level Pricing basis. Price Factor is applied on the pricelist of this type. Data selection in this field is mandatory if a pricing element is specified in the “Factored Pricing” tab. You can select from the options:

Ref. Catalogue ID |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the pricelist is based on the reference catalogue ID pricelist eg. Internal pricelist or pricelist after a survey of the market. The system lists all the catalogues that are in “active” status as defied for the category type “Ref. Catalogue ID” in the “Category” business component. Ensure that a value is specified in this field if the “Regular” is selected as the “Pricing Type” and “Factored On” is selected with a value other than “Ref. Catalogue ID”. |
Slab Definition For? |
Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether a slab is required for any of the following options:

Base Adj. Factor |
Adjustment of the base value of the price. Data entry in this field is mandatory if a pricing element is specified in the “Factored Pricing” tab multiline. Ensure that the value specified in this field is a positive integer greater then 0. Note that f no value is specified in this field, the system displays “1” . |
Multiple Price Factor? |
Use the drop-down list and select “Yes” if you wish to define different price factors for different pricelists in ‘Max. Price – Appl. Pricelists’ tab. Else select “No”. |
Price Factor |
The price factor for a pricing combination of OEM or Part Level Pricing Basis. Data entry in this field is mandatory if a pricing element is specified in the “Factored Pricing” tab multiline. |

To proceed, carryout the following:
Select the “Pricing Profile” tab to select attributes for each pricing element based on which factored pricing is defined.
Select the “Ref. Pricelist Priority” tab to define priority for alternate pricelist.
Select the “Max Price – Appl. Pricelists” tab to capture Ref. Catalogue IDs and its Price Factors.
Note: This tab appears only if the ‘Factored on’ is set as “Price List with Max Price” in the “Factored Pricing” tab.
Select the "Slab Definitions" tab to define the price factor and Base Adj. factor based on the slab against a pricing line.
Select the “Direct Pricing” tab to define prices directly.
Select the "Price Factor Details" tab to define factor pricing breakups.
