Through this activity, an employee can request his or her supervisor for a time deviation on a specific date, and for a given assignment.
Time Deviation: Time deviation refers to changing the timings of the shift to which the employee is currently assigned. The time deviation could be a change in the start time, the end time, or both. Besides, the time deviation can be a total one, where the timings of the work sessions and break sessions within the shift are changed as well. The flexibility allowed in the time deviation will depend on the permission for time deviation defined for the rota plan to which the employees belong.
You are already scheduled for a shift, on the date for which you require a time deviation
The day for which you require a time deviation is not your scheduled weekly off.
What You Are To Carry Out: You begin by selecting the number of the assignment for which the shift is applicable. The date on which the deviation is required must be specified as well.
The system fills you in, on the shift that is scheduled already for you on this date. You can view the name of the shift, and its start and end timings
You can enter the deviation in the start time and end time of the shift, for this specific day.
Permissions for Time Deviation: After you complete entry of the time deviation, the system checks the permission for time deviation defined for the rota plan to which you belong. The permission could be “Time Deviation Allowed“, “Time Deviation Relaxed Hours” or “Deviation With Fixed Hours”. This permission is predefined in the Time Management Setup activity.
Not Allowed“ specifies that time deviation in the working hours of the rota plan is allowed.
With Relaxed Hours” specifies that an employee can work for any number of hours; it is not necessary that his working hours are equivalent to his shift hours. But the number of hours that he works must not exceed the scheduled hours of the shift. For example, if the scheduled shift is from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., the employee cannot work for more than 6 hours on the shift.
With Fixed Hours”.”” defines the fixed hours of work, which must be put in by the employee.
