Authorizing an increment set
Select the “Authorize Increment Set” link under the “Increments” component.
The “Authorize Increments” page appears.
Enter the following
Increment Unit |
From the “Increment Unit” drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which you require to authorize the increment set. |
Increment Set ID |
Enter the code of the increment set that must be authorized. Help available |
Select the “Get Details” pushbutton.
The system displays the following details of the increment set:
Increment Set Description |
The name or description of the increment set |
Increment Type |
Either “Scale based” or “Non-scale based” is displayed, to indicate whether the increment amount will be based on the employee’s scale. |
Increment Pattern |
Either “Anniversary” or “Adhoc” is displayed, to indicate the frequency for assigning the increment set to the employees. “Anniversary” indicates that the increment set will be updated to the employee’s base salary after every one year from the employee’s date of joining. “Adhoc” indicates that the increment set is updated to the employee’s base salary at other user-defined frequencies. |
Edit the following, if required
Increment Month |
From the drop-down list box, choose the month for which you require the processed records of eligible employees to be retrieved, for increment set authorization. See Example. Enter the year, in the adjacent field. |
Edit the following, if required
Increment Effective From Date |
Enter the date for which you require the processed records of eligible employees to be retrieved, for increment set authorization. |
Select the “Save Parameters” pushbutton, to save the parameters entered.
The Session ID is generated.
Select the “Authorize” pushbutton, to authorize the employee records
The system displays the following fields
Session Id |
The session ID uniquely identifies the increment set authorization on a specified set or batch of employee records. |
Process Status |
The status of the increment set processing; this will be changed from “Initiated” to “Authorized”. |
