Manpower Planning – An overview

This component primarily allows you to create a manpower plan and salary plan for a combination of employment unit, work location and department in the organization. Planning is done for a specific planning calendar.

Defining planning calendar: Through this activity, you can define the planning calendar, which can be used by other activities. The planning calendar is defined for any combination of position, job, grade set, and grade.

Record Position Group:Through this activity, you can record, edit or delete  the position group details.

Manpower Planning: Through this activity, you can create the manpower plan for a specific planning calendar. You can maintain different versions of the manpower plan. You can record and comprehend the (i) strength of the employees in a segment (department/work location)(ii) number of employees in the department (iii) average salary per headcount (iv) increase in salary budget.  You can optionally do the computation by applying the pre-defined rules in the “Application Tools” component. You can also analyze the increase in salary budget by studying the dynamic bar graph. Additionally, you can edit, view or delete a specific version of the manpower plan.

Authorize Manpower Planning : You can authorize/reject the manpower plan  that has been sent for approval.

View Planning Details: Through this activity, you can view the manpower planning details for a specific planning unit, planning period and employment unit.
