Define Planning Calendar - A summary of the activity

Through this activity, you can define the planning calendar, which can be used in the activities where planning is involved. For example, the planning calendar can be used in Manpower planning activities.

You can enter the start date and end date of the planning calendar and the frequency for generating the period. The period frequency is the deciding factor for the generation and distribution of the periods. Consider the following example.

• Enter “Calendar Period From” as “2004/12/12” and  “Calendar Period To” as “2005/12/12”.

• Enter the “Period Frequency” as “Monthly”.

The system generates and distributes the planning period details for 12 months, which implies that twelve records will be displayed.

The planning calendar is defined for any combination of position, job, grade set, and grade. You can also edit or delete the planning calendar.
