Adjust Employee Leave - A summary of the activity
Through this activity, you can adjust the leave units of the employee for the current period or the latest record that is available for the employee. The leave adjustment for the employee can be done for the following leave functions:
Entitlement of the leave
Carry over of leave
Availment of leave
Encashment of the leave.
At the outset, you are to specify the search criteria by which employee can be retrieved. After the system retrieves the records of employees that satisfy your search criteria, you can select the required employee and enter the “Adjust Employee Leave” page.
In the “Adjust Employee Leave” page, the system shows the “current units” for each leave function; this refers to the leave units of the employee as per the system records. Against this information, you can enter an adjustment number, to indicate the number of leave units to be added or subtracted from the “current units”. The adjustment number is referred to as the “adjustment units”.
Leave adjustment for “availment” and “encashment” are governed by the following conditions:
When the “current units” is 0, the system does not allow a negative adjustment value to be entered
If a negative adjustment value is entered, it must not exceed the “current units” value. For example, if the “current units” is 10 days, you can enter a negative adjustment value up to -10. The system will not permit –11 to be entered.
