Selecting the employee whose leave is to be adjusted
Select the “Adjust Leave” option from the left pane.
The “Select Employee to Adjust Leave " page appears.
The system displays the following field.
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following
Leave Processing Unit |
The organization unit where the “Employee Leave Setup” component is deployed to process the various leave types for all the employment units interacting with it. |
To select through Direct Entry
Enter the following
Employee Code

To view the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the employee codes. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c*, will search for those employee codes that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Leave Type |
From the drop-down list box select the type of leave. For example leave type can be casual leave, privilege leave etc. |
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the Employment Unit, Employee Code, Employee Name, Leave Type, Position Title, Department Description, Job Title, Grade Set Description, Grade Description, From Date or To Date. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the Employment Unit, Employee Code, Employee Name, Leave Type, Position Title, Department Description, Job Title, Grade Set Description, Grade Description, From Date or To Date, contains.
Enter the following search criteria values, in one or more of the following fields.
Employee Code |
To retrieve all employee codes containing a given set of characters, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. For example, if you type in “000”, all employee codes containing “000” will be displayed. |
Leave Type |
To retrieve all employees mapped to a specific leave type, choose this leave type from the drop-down list box. |
Employee Name |
To retrieve all employee names containing a given set of characters, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. For example, if you type in “ken”, all employee codes containing “ken” will be displayed. |
Position Title |
To retrieve all employees with a given position title, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. |
Department Description |
To retrieve all employees belonging to a given department, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. |
Job Title |
To retrieve all employees with a given job title, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. |
Grade Set Description |
To retrieve all employees belonging to a given grade set, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. |
Grade Description |
To retrieve all employees belonging to a given grade, type in these characters, in combination with a wild card. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value. If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values. If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are applicable to the selected Leave Processing unit.
The system displays the following details of all the employees that satisfy your search criteria
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Leave Type |
The type of leave selected in the search criteria. |
Position Title |
The title of the position the employee holds. |
Department |
The name of the department to which the employee belongs. |
Job Title |
The title of the job the employee holds in the organization. |
Grade Set |
The description of the grade set to which the employee belongs. |
Grade |
The description of the grade to which the employee belongs. |
Employee Code |
The unique code that identifies the employee. |
Period From |
The start date of the latest period |
Period To |
The end date of the latest period. |
Check the “Select” box contained in the employee record that requires leave adjustments, in the multiline
Select the hyperlinked “Employee Name” field.
The “Adjust Employee Leave” page appears.
