Through this activity, you can perform the formalities that should be completed before an applicant is inducted formally into the organization as an employee. You can use the search facility to specify wild card search parameters for the applicant details and select the required employee for whom you can record joining details.
As part of recording the joining details, you are to,
Record the vital information necessary to perform applicant joining.
Record information on the referral checks conducted for the applicant.
Record information on the medical checks that are necessary for the job for which the applicant is being hired.
Record information on the joining formalities.
Create a separate file for the employee in which you can record the unique details of the employee. The employee file is exclusive to the applicant for which it is created at the time of joining.
Record the details of the primary assignment for which the applicant is being hired.
Record details of the compensation offered to the applicant for the position/job for which he/she is being hired.
Record the assignment details of the applicant if the he/she is being hired as a non-regular employee.
Performing Applicant Joining: To perform applicant joining you are specify the date on which the applicant will join the organization, indicate if medical checks, referral checks and joining formalities have been completed or otherwise, indicate the hire type as regular, contract, consultant etc.. You can also add any additional remarks.
Recording Information on Referral Checks: To record reference information you are to indicate is the reference type is internal or external, the name of the person under the specified reference type, the description of the organization in which he/she works, his/her contact details, his/her reference remarks etc.
Recording information on medical checks: To record information on medical checks, you are to record the physiological details of the applicant like his/her blood group, height, weight, identification marks etc. Following this you can record if medical tests have been completed for the applicant and indicate if he/she is fit for employment or otherwise.
Recording information on joining formalities: To record information on joining formalities, you are to specify the joining criteria, the status and also enter your remarks.
Creating and maintaining an employee file: To maintain a separate employee file for the applicant, you are to specify the unique details like the unique employee code assigned to the applicant, if the applicant is being hired as a regular or contract employee etc., the full name of the applicant, his/her date of joining etc.
Creating primary assignment information: To record primary assignment information, you are to record the details pertaining to the details of the organization in which the applicant is joining, the details of hierarchy applicable to the position/job for which the applicant is being hired, the various attributes of the job for which the applicant is being hired, the details of the supervisor to whom he/she should report to etc.
Recording Compensation Information: Compensation information comprises details like the basic salary of the compensation offered to the applicant, the currency in which it will be paid, the scale applicable the job for which the applicant is being hired, the payment and rated frequency details etc. You can also view the internal equity details while recording compensation information of the applicant. Note that you can also record the assignment and compensation details separately for an applicant who is being hired as non-regular employee.
Recording Rehire Information: If the applicant being hired is an ex-employee of the organization, you can record all the relevant information pertaining to the rehire of the applicant.
