Authorize Applicant Selection - A summary of the activity

Through this activity, you can authorize the selection of an applicant for employment.

You can amend the employment and compensation terms of the post for which the applicant is selected before authorization. You can modify the employment unit, position, grade set, grade and salary pertaining to the post. Other details for the record are rated frequency, payment frequency and tax liability of the new recruit. The details of overtime and, the supervisor, to whom the new employee must report, are also recorded.

You can authorize records that are awaiting authorization or were previously unauthorized.

In this second to last task of hire process, you can take one of the following actions.

• Authorize: The applicant is to be inducted into the organization. The system sets the status of the resume to “Authorized”.

• Unauthorize: The selection of the applicant is revoked and the status of the resume is set to “Unauthorized”.
