Request for Hiring – An Overview
This component of Hire Process enables employees to request for hiring human resources in the organization, whenever a requirement arises. Requesting for hire is the first stage in recruitment where a employee / HR executive raises a hire request against a vacancy in an organization unit.
An employee can either directly submit a hire request using the “Request for Hire” activity or with the intervention of an HR user who must record the submitted hire request using the “Record Hire Request” activity. The HR administrator must authorize the hire requests. He/she can edit the details before authorizing. To accept resumes from external candidates for a particular vacancy, the HR administrator can opt for displaying the vacancy on the Internet on the web site. In addition, employee with the required privilege can view a hire request and set its status. The hire requests are authorized or rejected by a designated authority. After the authorization of a hire request, need to be authorized before a resume can be posted to them. After a hire request is authorized, resumes are posted against them for selection of probable new employees in the "Resume" component.
You can initiate or stop the processing of a hire request in the "Set Hire Request Status" activity.
You can mark certain hire requests for internal recruitment. The Internal Vacancy report is generated from these vacancies and published within the organization. Existing employees apply for the vacant positions.
Vacancies from various RFHs are consolidated and a vacancy posting is created in the "Record Vacancy Postings" activity. The vacancy postings are published in the official web site of the organization, for applicants to submit their resumes.
