Employment Information – An overview

 

Getting familiar with the activities inside

The Employment Information component facilitates recording the employment related information of the employee. You can use this component to record information pertaining to the following fields:

Recording Primary Assignment Information: Through this activity, the HR user can define a primary assignment for permanent employees for whom no assignment has been defined. The primary assignment details refer to the organizational attributes of the employee’s job like the description of the company, employment unit, work location etc., the job attributes like the code and description of the job, the grade and grade set applicable to it, whether the job is full or part time etc. The benefit related information, hierarchy point details and reporting details also form part of the primary assignment information.

Recording Non-Regular Employee Assignment: Employees who are not in the permanent rolls of the Organization, for example, Consultants, Volunteers, Contractors, Trainees etc., are given Non-regular assignments. Non-Regular assignments are created for a relatively short span of time with a pre-decided date on which the assignment is to be closed. The non-regular assignment could be closed earlier than the specified date or extended to a later date also. Through this activity, you can record assignment details for those employees who are not on the regular rolls of the organization.

Recording Secondary Assignment Information: An employee can have more than one assignment in an Organization. A regular employee can hold many additional assignments, in addition to his/her primary assignment. Secondary assignments will not be considered for employee movements even if they can be created and closed as and when required. You can use this activity to record secondary assignment information for an employee.

Recording Assignment-Competency Information: Through this activity, you can record the details of the competencies applicable to the employee’s assignment. These details comprise the unique code and description of the competency, the minimum extent to which the employee should be proficient in the competency etc.

Recording Assignment-Qualification Information: Through this activity, you can record the details of the qualifications applicable to the employee’s assignment. These details comprise the unique code and description of the qualification,  if the qualification pertains to a professional degree or otherwise etc.

Recording Award Details:  Employees during their tenure of employment in the Organization may receive awards based on merit, for any commendable achievement, which may or may not relate to his employment. Such one-time or non-recurring types of payments/ citations/ medals are classified as ‘Awards’ in Ramco Employee Induction. These details are captured and can be retrieved as and when required. Through this activity, you can record award details.

Recording Reward Details: Employees may be given a reward in appreciation of his/her satisfactory performance or special service. Such Rewards could be of recurring as well as non-recurring. Payment details for both the types of rewards can be through this activity.

Recording Membership Details: Through this activity, you can record the details of the membership the employee has in any association. These details comprise if the association is an internal or external one, the subscription amount, membership duration etc.

Recording Terms and Conditions: Through this activity, you can record the terms and conditions of the job like the notice period that should be given in the event of the resignation of the employee etc.
