This page allows you to view the details of the selected engineering advice note (EAN). Tell me more.

The “View Engg. Advice Note” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the “User Preferences” business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Advice Note Details” groupbox:

Engg Advice Note #

The number identifying the engineering advice note.

Revision #

The latest revision number of the EAN if available.

Subject

The subject of the EAN.

User Status

The user status of the EAN.

Key Word

The keyword that is unique to the EAN, to identify the EAN easily.

EAN Category

The category of the EAN.

The system displays the following in the “Advice Details” group box:

ATA #

The ATA chapter number associated to the EAN.

Chapter Description

A textual description of the ATA chapter number.

Background Details

A textual description of the reasons which led to the creation of this ESR.

Recommendation

A textual description of the clarifications given by the engineering department for the ESR.

The system displays the following in the “Approving Authority Details” group box:

Approval Authority

The authority, which approved the EAN.

Manufacturer #

The code identifying the name of the original equipment manufacturer.

Manufacturer Name

The name of the original equipment manufacturer.

Approval Date

The date on which the EAN was approved.

Approval #

The approval number received from the approval authority or the OEM.

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to approving the EAN.

The system lists the aircraft models for which the EAN is applicable, in the “Model Effectivity” multiline:

Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model for which the EAN is applicable.

Model Type

The type of the aircraft model.

Model Description

A textual description of the aircraft model.

Aircraft Effectivity

The system displays either “All” or “Restricted” depending on the association of aircraft registration numbers to the EAN.

  • All – If aircraft registration numbers have not been associated to the EAN. This indicates that the EAN is applicable for all aircraft registration numbers belonging to the model.

  • Restricted - If aircraft registration numbers have been associated to the EAN. This indicates that the EAN is applicable only for the specified aircraft registration numbers, belonging to the model.

File Name The name of the file attached (Alphanumeric, 50).Zoom facility available

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Created by

The login ID of the user who raised the EAN.

Create date

The date on which the EAN was created.

Last Modified by

The login ID of the user, who modified the EAN, last.

Last Modified date

The date on which the EAN was last modified.

Release By

The login ID of the user, who released the EAN.

Release Date

The date on which the EAN was released to the “Engineering Service Request” business component.

Viewing engineering advice note – An overview

This page allows you to view the details of the selected engineering advice note (EAN).

You can view details such as the subject of the EAN, the category of the EAN, the keyword and the user status. You can view the background details and the recommendations given earlier.  You can also view the approval details of the EAN.

The EAN can be applicable for a single aircraft model or a set of aircraft models in the organization unit. The aircraft models for which the EAN is applicable are listed in the multiline. The aircraft effectivity for the EAN can be either “All” or “Restricted”. When the aircraft effectivity is “All”, it indicates that the EAN is applicable for all the aircraft registration numbers defined for that model in the login organization unit. When the aircraft effectivity is “Restricted”, it indicates that the EAN is applicable only for specific aircraft registration numbers, defined for the model.
